Q: Would it work with small quantities, like chopping one onion OR pureeing one tomato ?

Yes it will chop small quantities. I chopped and onion and some celery for potato salad and it did fine. I had to stop it and take my spatula and push the sides down for it to pick up some of the pieces it missed but I love it. It is so easy to clean also even for the small jobs. I chopped olives to make a dip and it was perfect.

Q: How easy it is to clean?

It cleans up real easy. Clean it while it’s fresh and you can spray everything out.

Q: How thick are the slices? I need about 1/4” slices for pickle recipe.

Slicing is adjustable and 1/4 inch thickness is a yes.
