These work great for blending ort burnishing colored pencil on paper.I especially love the full woodless blender.It works with all colored pencils, wax and oil types, you don't have to use these for just it's brand of colored pencils. It';ll even help blend or burnish inexpensive Crayola colored pencils, try it, you'll love the look!Easy to use, just go over your colored pencil with either the blender pencil or the full blending stick and watch how your colored pencil art just gets smooth and beautiful.The pencils aren't very delicate, but the full blender can break if dropped (I dropped mine opening the package and it snapped about a fifth of the thing off. So yeah, try not to be clumsy, or open it over carpet as I should have done but didn't and opened the package over ceramic tile like a goof.

I bought the used version to save a couple bucks and it was opened but in new condition. I’d rather purchase items like this to save on the waste created from Amazon returns. Also, they blend well and I agree with what others say in the other reviews about their blending capabilities. I’m not a pro, def a beginner so I’m not the best person to know but yeah they work great.

Despite using artist grade/very good quality colored pencils, I sometimes still need assistance in blending or to try to smooth out the color that I have laid down. Although these cost more, they seem to perform better than any other top brands that I have tried. As a result, I just repurchased this item despite having still having several left by a different brand.

The media could not be loaded. These pencil and full blenders by Caran d'Ache are the very best of any brand/type. Derwent makes a nice one too, but these are my #1 favorite. They work great with all of my favorite pencils. In this video I am using the blending pencil with Holbein. I use them with all my pencils--Prismacolor, Polychromos, Arteza and Staedtler Ergosoft as well. They are especially helpful when I don't want to take the time to lay down 5 layers of color on a high quality paper. Sometimes a girl just wants to sit down and color a page in less than 8 hours. *wink*I have seen reviews in the past complaining about the full blender breaking during shipping as it isn't encased in wood. While it is unfortunate, it has only happened to me once and it didn't impact the efficacy in the least...I just sharpened and used the pieces. As a matter of fact, it was nice to have a chunk to stick in my travel case while the rest remained on my desk. It is becoming harder to find these online. I have read that retailers are less willing to ship the full blenders because customers want refunds and replacements when they arrive broken and it isn't cost effective to sell them. If people who know they are going to be upset if the full blender arrives broken would just order blender pencils encased in wood, those of us who want a full blender--even if it might arrive broken--could still have access to them.I love fresh new supplies as much as the next person, but given the choice; I would still order the full blender, even if it might arrive broken, rather than not even having access to them at all. They work just fine and fit in pencil extenders. I used to buy packs of 2 of only these full blenders here on amazon and a couple of other online art stores but I haven't been able to find them anywhere online for nearly a year now. I was excited to find this set so I was able to at least get one of each!

I love using this blender pencil on any of my colored pencils. I get great blending with little pressure. This is one of the best blenders on the market.

I’m a beginner with pencil colors and this blender has made my life so much easier. It definitely blends and fills in the little gaps left by pencil strokes. The wax removes a lot of the shine as well. Both blenders are effortless to use and beginner friendly. 10/10 would recommend!!
