Great for filling pools
Constantly traveling and therefore have to always ask neighbors or others to fill my pool periodically. Especially during the summer when the water evaporates quicker than usual. I have to make sure the pumps don't burn out on low water. This device works great for that purpose. I am already a user of the Bhyve sprinkler system which is fantastic and saves me money on watering. This new Orbit device/timer works great and integrates easily into the Bhyve app.Combined with a video camera I purchased online to watch the water levels, I can now water from anywhere in the world with an internet connection or put it on a timer with the app to do it automatically. I choose to do it manually with the app for now. You have to configure it with a watering Zone and put a timer on the refill if you wish or you can use the app to water for a specific amount of time. In addition, if you review the history on the device through the app, you will see how much water it uses and the gallons per minutes at the water flows. I now know that to top off my pool it uses 256 gallons.I included a picture and I bought a sturdy short metal hose (since in the hot sun all day, I don't trust rubber hoses or those cheap plastic pool refillers) and strapped it to a scrap wood I got from a hardware store that had a groove on it that the hose fit easily into. I screwed the wood down into a space where the caulking is on the side of the pool. I connected the device to my outdoor spigot that already has a watering timer on it for my shrubs so had to get a Y connector to add this device as you can see on the picture. But it's easy, I set the timer for 50 minutes when my water is low and hit start and it goes and even alerts me when it is done. I also intend to set it up on a zone/timer within the app to automatically fill the pool once a week. With my plants now on a water timer and my pool, I can now travel worry free and don't have to bug anybody to help with watering anything.Thank you Orbit, this is a great product! I have some suggestions though:1. Please integrate your products with Smartthings or the smart homes standards like Zigbee or others. It's too late for you to have your own home standard and your niche is to small so please do right by your customers so they can control your products optionally without using your app. Because of the control your app is needed, but make so we can work with other standards like Matter or Zigbee, please.2. Please make an indoor watering system for indoor plants and tie it to your app. It's right up your alley, re water and such and maybe a low margin item but you can sell thousands and thousands of them. You have outdoor irrigation products, make them for indoor as well.3. Long term I plan to hire a plumber and put a permanent wireless timer on my built in water refill in place of this but this works great in the meantime. I wish there was a device that alerted me wirelessly when the water was too low in the pool. Thanks for reading this review, this product is great! Good luck doing your project.

Great options if you can’t water daily
Love this product and like being able to CI trim from anywhere. A little difficult to setup. Had to be closer to device and router than stated however once figured out it was easy to setup

Orbit is having issues
Word to the wise, hold off on purchasing this product. I purchased water timer (21005) + hub (21006) recently and the water timer bricked during the firmware update phase of the install: The timer can't be reset, it doesn't click when batteries are installed and it flashes its status light white every 2 seconds. I called Orbit tech support & they say this is a known issue with an open-ended fix date but they are hoping to resolve it by end of the week, 14 may 2023.This bug makes the timer unusable - the B-hyve app itself locks up while trying to do the timer firmware update and the timer cannot then be restored to a previous firmware image. Hopefully Orbit has not shot themselves in the foot by permanently bricking all of their B-hyve products.

Worked great the first few months, then…
Scheduled watering suddenly stopped. Water tap is constantly disconnecting from the WiFi hub despite a strong signal and no obstructions. On top of that it no longer recorded watering history. Tried to update the firmware but it did not fix the problems. I would suggest avoiding this smart watering timer until they can sort out the issues.

Finicky WIFI
It took a couple of hickups to connect but WIFI connection is very buggy. Sometimes I see a message that it is not able to connect tot eh device even though we have a very strong WIFI Signal

Gardening Dream!
I LOVE these! This was the first of the now five I own! These are so awesome, easy to set up, and smart! I have some on a manual timer, and some I use the smart watering feature. Regardless of the timer, the rain delay works and is great! A real water saver. I have to travel a lot this summer and I feel like I don't have to worry about my flowers or veggies dying now. Other older manual timers had began leaking and didn't have the smart connectivity. So these are just great.

Night and day
Tried a couple of manual timers, a couple of wifi timers. Also Hose splitters. All had problems the last wifi time constantly leaked turning my faucet area into a swamp the splitter was also leaking this comes with both and what a difference. Everything is rock solid and not leaking. Easy to program as well! Absolutely worth it! Update for some reason the Timer isn't very accurate. I set it to come on for ten minutes but it does not last for even 5 so not sure why.

I wish there was competing products
Does the job but the app is terrible. It will skip watering when it rain but I can't figure out how to tune that properly or adjust watering based on humidity and temperature. Another non sense is that it skip watering when its windy... why?1 year update:This thing is good enough that I can trust it to keep my plants alive when I'm away. I've gave up on using any of their smart feature. The app is just incomprensible. Is it possible that the app got worst since last summer? Hard to tell.At the beginning of the season I had to delete the device and the hub from the app and re-pair everything to get them to work. I got stuck into a loop updating the firmware at some point and almost give up assuming the device was dead but it finally worked. It was a good 45 minutes of tinkering to get it to work again.
