O'SKOOL Cotton Sock for Sealing Iron

Fits my sealing iron, works!

Seems to be a good product. Use my iron for airplane covering

A simple product, made well enough. They fit an iron properly and stay on well enough. No amount of heat from the iron created any problems. They are a bit coarse and stiff, but they do not scratch the covering material. The only problem is that you probably only need one, not a bunch of them. I have heard that baby socks will work as well, but it is hard to find them100% cotton.

I like the O'skool socks better than the H9 brand.The sock installs much easier than the H9 socks.I have used the sock to cover a complete twin 46 plane, and no indication of wear or deterioration.I have covered an entire plane with the H9 sock, and it looked a lot worse for wear than the O'skool did after covering the twin 46 plane. I don't know how well the O'skool sock will hold up over time, but I suspect I will be happy with it.The O'skool socks are about the same price as the H9 socks, but in my opinion a better sock.

This sock is custom made for this particular heating iron. Unfortunately for the price it doesn't really last that long. I'm talking maybe through one roll of monocoat. Because it is the custom fit for the iron, it is that much more convenient
