UPDATED -- Was great while it lasted - all 2 months
UPDATE SINCE ONE STAR REVIEW --The seller contacted me and honestly, was more "on my case" to fix the issue than I was. I don't often do seller reviews, but have made sure to show that this seller is all about customer satisfaction. So - I did all the steps to fix the "issue" with the pet feeder.. none worked.. that "cute" song was now playing non-stop and making us all crazy.. not to mention a super confused cat trying to eat from 6 (empty now) bowls.I can't negate my 1 star, but will upgrade.. and likewise, if this pet feeder does not stand up, I will update..It seems if you use wet food.. and probably clean all parts.. might leave something damp in the inter workings of this... time will tellI have to say I'm pretty meticulous and neurotic about this stuff.. so I stand by my original review with the one star when it stopped working and longevity..However, the seller has been SO responsive and helpful to resolve the issue.. I now have a new feeder my cat literally lays by the bowl to wait (could be 8 hours!) and has alleviated his desire to pee in the house. He just wants to wait for food.. We almost put our 15 year old cat down due to peeing in the house and this helped by changing the time durations frequently on the feeder (1 hour, reset to 6 hour, reset to 4 hour etc -lots of work but if you have peeing cat.. it works). Our cat was also only dry food, switched to wet food on this timer and helped us NOT put our cat down due to peeing in the house. We also were replacing floors - cat kept peeing on the concrete after ripping up the floors... this food feeder with one month of "kitty Xanax" in wet food has worked.. no more meds, still working on floors and 8 months later and kitty doesn't care.. just LOVES this robot food bowl. (past peeing places irradiated) He literally waits in the kitchen for he food bowl to play the song and runs to eat.So... for ALL of the above.. YES.. your kitty will love it.. we have a new one and will come back and repost if it doesn't make it past 3 months again!I purchased this little food feeder for our cat that will only take his medicine in wet food and we were going to be traveling and could only get someone to check in every 2-3 days.Thankfully, it worked for our vacation and our little furball was fed. The unit itself is easy enough to put together and take apart to clean. The timer is a bit undesirable in that you can only set the number of hours or minutes for it to go off and cannot set specific times (like 6 am and 7 pm when he would normally eat). You also cannot alter the volume of the annoying little song it plays which is super annoying when it goes off in the middle of the night. My biggest complaint is that is does not last. We are now taking another trip and need it to work but it just continues to spin and play the song. I've taken that batteries out and replaced them and made sure the button isn't stuck.. done everything the manufacturer says to do. It's now useless and literally threw the box out 4 days ago. So, I don't know if there is a warranty or if they stand by it.Right now I'm just out $40. It's built cheaply. It will likely do the job for a vacation or two, but don't expect it to last.

Fixed My Problem
My cat would constantly bother me about food all day long. Every time I’d get up from the couch or walk to the bathroom or kitchen. This product has been somewhat of a lifesaver! Now, she just waits by her food dispenser until the timer goes off. It’s pretty durable and I haven’t had any issues yet. I had one similar before but had to buy a new one because I don’t know what I did with it. This was a good replacement. She also seems a little better knowing that I only “give” her food when the dispenser is empty. Good for training.

So far so good.
Okay so we have been using this product for about 3 days now. So far, it's been amazing! It only took Snowflake (our cat) about 2 times to realize the little jingle that plays means FOOD!! She will be walking around the house singing the song of her hungry people, then that jingle will play and she starts running, literally RUNNING, to the feeder and scarfs down her food.Snowflake is a 17 year old flametip Siamese that hasn't ran anywhere in about 6 years. So to see her get excited when the music plays is a joy to my heart.Pros: I love that I can split her food and treats into 6 different compartments and set the timer. We set her up around 7am and set the timer to every 3 hours. Food and treats placed every other spot, so she gets a nice combo throughout the day. The tray and cover are super easy to clean and made of good material.Cons: so the only drawback and reason for 4 stars is the way the cover comes apart. The tray itself and the little display cover are both twist and lock, which are GREAT. However, the tray cover with the cute little paws? That you have to kinda just rip off, and it feels/sounds like if you do this multiple times, it's gonna break. But we're at day 3 and it's good, so I'll update if anything goes wrong. Lol Another drawback I would say is that the tray isn't the one that moves, the cover does. So that means you have to put this feeder out in the open so your furbaby can access all around it. Design flaw in my opinion. It would have been so much better if the tray itself was the piece to rotate and not the cover, that way less space taken up and you could just put it against the wall, like we normally did with her prior food bowl.Having said ALL that, I really love this unit and will continue using it. Snowflake loves the music, I can set it up one time and she is taken care of all day without me having to remember to feed her or give her treats if I get busy at work. I can't leave food out for her, as she is a glutton....she would eat ALL of it at one time and then throw it right back up. Gotta love my kitty, but she does make feeding time interesting. I hope this review helps. ☺️

Care free feeding
I love that I no longer hear whining in the morning waking me up because she’s hungry. I feed my 11lb pomchi 3/4 cup of dry dog food. I’m thinking each partition could hold 1c of dry food. It was easy to set up. She was skittish at first but now I see an empty tray when I get up in the morning. Only complaint is what others have said about the time. When I first received it two weeks ago, I set the timer for 24 hours at 6 am, now it opens at 4am. Not that big a deal to me, as long as she is fed and I’m not awakened by her whining for food. I’ll remedy this by resetting the time every six days when I refill her food. I had two weekends in a row where we left Friday and returned Sunday evening. I had to pile tons of food and hoped she had self control. She didn’t. The first weekend, I put tons of food down, then went to load the suitcases. By the time I had gotten back, she had already eaten half of the overflowing bowl. And this was after she had already been fed that morning. Now, I can leave and know she’ll have food each day that I’m gone. If there was no timing issue, it would definitely get 5 stars.
