Very good sound.
Great system, great power, no humming, only thing, I bought this one to replace one my cat threw up and took out of combat, and service in PR is non-existant, no parts either.

Onkyo TX-NR6050 7.2-Channel receiver
I purchased the Onkyo TX-NR6050 and couldn’t be happier with my decision. First off, it arrived on time, which is always a great start. The setup process was incredibly easy—everything was straightforward, and I had it up and running in no time. One of the features I really liked was the ability to use the Onkyo app on my phone to connect the receiver to my network. It made the whole process smooth and hassle-free, and I was streaming music and adjusting settings within minutes. The sound quality is fantastic, with clear dialogue, deep bass, and immersive surround sound that really enhances my home theater experience.Overall, this receiver delivers excellent performance, user-friendly controls, and modern connectivity features. If you’re looking for a high-quality AV receiver that’s easy to set up and offers great smart features, the Onkyo TX-NR6050 is a great choice!

Grab your popcorn...
For the price, this is a wonderful receiver. I haven't had a single problem since purchase. It is paired with the Bose AM15 pro II speaker system and to sony atmos speakers. Honestly I am not sure the atmos speakers do much good, but I also haven't tried tuning it, other than with the automated system. I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade old gear. It sounds MUCH better than the previous Pioneer I had.

UPDATE: It's junk. Absolute garabage.
I'm not sure what I think about this thing. It was easy to install and seed awesome right out of the gate. But then I started having problems. Enough problems I almost returned this. TV would flicker. Casting was terribly unreliable. It was glitchy. In a last ditch effort before I returned it (because i threw away the packaging) I tried a few things and it's been perfect since! The receiver is hooked to a samsung tv. I replaced my 4k hdmi cable with a 8k hdmi cable to the TV. And I unlinked my Smart things samsung app and Google home app I was using to control the tv. I'm not sure what the problem was but those 2 things fixed it. I think that the samsung tv it was hooked to was conflicting when I linked it to my Google home app. So now we just use smart things for the TV app stuff.UPDATE: It's junk. I replaced it with a Denon that has been perfect. So after seeming to operate correctly this thing got worse. It just plain disappeard from our casting options. Every time I turned the TV off then back on, I had to unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in to get the sound to work. Just absolutel crap. PASS PASS PASS On this thing. It seriously gave me more problems than anything else in my entire new home. And of course I threw away all the orignal packaging that came with it. Imagine saving every bit of packing when you built a new home! So of course I can't return it to Amazon. I may have some fun at Onkyo's expense by seeing if they will manufacturer warranty it. But who can wait for that massive amount of time and hassle... so I was pretty much forced to buy a different model. Now this Onkyo piece of crap is just filling up space and I can't bring myself to throw it away. BUY THE DENON!!!

It does everything good
I purchased this receiver back in March 2024. It is used as my home office music system. Paired with Polk ES15 mains, ES10 Surrounds, ES35 Center and an RSL Speedwoofer 10e. A Hisense 55U7K 4k TV rounds out the equipment. The Onkyo was easy to connect and integrates well with the other equipment. Once the system audio calibration, AccuEQ, is complete it sounds very nice. Nothing over powering or left wanting in the audio spectrum. Crispy highs and solid bass response.

Set-up is problematic and time consuming.
I have not used the Tech Support yet as I have a friend who helped me set it up. It took about 10 hours total. This is primarily due to the fact that I have older components it is used with (CD, DVD/BD, TV/Cable). I also don't own a cell phone and had to use my friends'. Once we got it working, it does great. I will say that I did not like having to download the user manual and then get it printed at the library. The option to get a hardcopy included with the receiver in the shipping box should exist as it did with the previous Onkyo receiver I owned. I will not purchase another Onkyo product that does not include this option. No idea how the bluetooth function works, I don't use bluetooth.

Could never get this to do 4k 120Hz VRR from my Xbox to Samsung QLED TV
I got this to connect my Xbox to my tv, and get 4k 120Hz HDR VRR, with surround sound. It was a good price, and I think this was actually the Costco model, which is a slightly less powerful amp of the equivalent normal Onkyo, at a much cheaper price. The verbiage said that this model was targeting PS5 and Xbox users who wanted the game at 4k 120Hz VRRI had a similar older Onkyo, but that model did not to 4k at 120Hz or HDR, so I upgradedTo me, everything was great except I could not get this receiver to work with my Samsung game mode and do 120Hz VRR or Auro switch my Samsung QLED tv into game mode. Always dropped to 4K/60HzI thought the sound was great, and better sound separation than my previous OnkyoI bought new 8k HDMI cables, which worked fine if I connect Xbox directly to tv, but as soon as the Onkyo was put on the middle, the 120Hz VRR would stop working. After many setting changes with settings such and 4k, 4k enhanced, 8 k, 8 k enhanced etc, I could never get the amp to pass the video at 120 VRRSo I would say that although is otherwise a great product, be wary if you require 4k 120Hz capabilityA workaround is to only use this amp as a sound system via ARC from your TV, but I sort of feel that defeats the whole reason for buying an AV Receiver. Then you will probably have issues with either no 7.1 or 5.1 sound via Arc, depending on your TV (a lot of tvs have issues with hdmi pass thru of these sound modesSo I have set the review score lower, as the whole reason I purchased this product was made invalid
