Brother Printer EHLL2320D Compact Laser Printer With Duplex Printing (Renewed)

Perfect printer for a college student. I have this in my dorm, and it makes printing assignments for submission much easier. this thing is FAST. it can print a stack of 50 pages before you can blink. in black and white, of course. I wouldn't use this for anything other than text documents.HOWEVER, the cartridge that is included barely lasted me 100 sheets before it needed to be replaced. Don't waste your money on the brother cartridges, I bought some grey knockoff ones on amazon (two of them for $30 or so), and so far they have lasted way longer than the included one, with no loss in quality.

Tl;Dr:Low Tonor? Press go 7 times. Don't take anything apart.So like everyone else has already said, it prints 50+ pages in literally no time flat. As a graduate engineer, printing 200+ page assignments is much less painful now.Now my main gripe: Low toner error. When the printer decides the ink roll is at the end of it's life, it just wont let you print anymore. It is incredible how evil and shallow this is, forcing ignorant customers to buy a new cartridge when the old one is only half done. Upon searching the google and youtube, the two main fixes to reset the low toner error are "Put tape over this whole because a laser is checking the level" and "turn this gear 180 degrees and forcably jam it so that it can't spin into the low ink position". Being an engineer, I tried paper clips for a while and when that failed miserably I drilled a hole and pinned the gear to the body of the cartridge (highly not recommended). Well, I managed to prove that neither one of those fixes work with this printer cartridge, at least not in my case.So then I looked for a software solution. Found the manual online, saw something called "Toner Continue Mode". Turns out all you need to do is turn on the printer, press go 7 times, and... it now no longer prevents printing. The low toner light is still on, but now it functions like a normal printer.

Wish I had bought this years ago instead of spending god-knows-how-many dollars on ink cartridges for my ink jet color printer. Those things seemed to run out within a few weeks and I really don't print that much. I have no need whatsoever for the color ink so this is a far superior choice for ordinary home printing needs. Toner cartridges last ages.The printer is quiet and fast. It holds a full pack of paper. The print quality seems fine and it was painless to install. The printer software came on a disk, Just let it load, plug in the printer and print your document. I love it when things work the way they're supposed to.

I recently purchased an inkjet after owning a laser printer. Big mistake. Laser printers produce higher quality documents. They are also more cost effective. Ink cartridges deplete quickly and need frequent replacements. Such a waste.This unit is very straightforward and set up was easy. It takes up a smaller amount of space than most printers. Printing is quick and easy. If you don't need color printing, this is an excellent choice.

The print quality isn't great, but it's faster than an inkjet and cheaper to operate - you don't have to replace the ink all the time. Works well for text with no graphics, and is a cost-effective way to print shipping labels and packing lists. Any graphics you print will look low quality, and images are obviously out of the question. That's not a major problem for me. It's a bit strange that they didn't spend the $1 to include a USB A to B cable (printer style USB cable) but I had one laying around, so it wasn't an issue.The way the printouts look, and the way it sounds / spits out the paper while printing reminds me of the 10+ year old HP laser printers that I used in school. It does seem to be a bit faster though, and hopefully it'll be more reliable.

WOW.. quiet, FAST, I'll never have a fancy color printer ever again. If you just want something to print documents, THIS is for you. I only need to print recipes, tax returns, you know, "documents" and this is the best I've ever had. It doesn't "scan" but since I have an IPAD, I just use my IPAD to copy things that need scanning, and then print that out. So there is the work around for that. bam! oh and for a refurb, so glad I took a chance.

I'm sick of inkjets. This will do it. Laser printer and refurbished, therefore affordable. works like a charm. That's all I can ask for. I have a fond memory of good ol' hp 4l laser printer that I used for like 10 years. I should've just stuck with its kind. Maybe after another 10 years, I'll give inks a new chance but they're not there yet to satisfy me. It's 2017, who wants to change inks every other week? come on now.

When I bought this in January, I was looking for a printer for minimum use. Once a month at most, but when you need something printed, you need it printed. I've never used a laser printer before. The last printer I had, the ink would dry out and the replacement cartridges were about the same cost as a new printer. After some research, I fell on to this printer. I started to work on my master's degree and I've used this printer ALOT. I recently discovered it will do double sided printing. It prints documents very quickly. I'm about to buy replacement ink and a toner cartridge for it. It's really easy to set up and I haven't had a single problem with it like I have with many other inkjet printers. It's probably as basic as a printer comes, but I've strongly recommended it to other people.

I personally had to take my time to pair it with my computer. Read through the setup carefully and then it is really easy. prints things very clearly.

Good quality printing. Would recommend the 'wireless' version.....much more versatile.

LOVE this printer !!!! It is way faster and better than I expected..... especially printing double sided.
