I purchased 3 seats and 2 leg rests when we traveled. We put the leg rests side by side. My 3 year old was able to sleep fully stretched out on top of both pillows. My 7 year old slept bent on the 2 airline seats. I sat in the 3rd seat. It will depend how tall your 4 year old is and how many seats and leg cushions you are planning to buy.

Q: Is it permited to be used in a flight?

Yes. I taraveled 2days ago and they permited. I sadisfied a lot with the pillow. My 3yrs daughter could sleep well during night flights.Even I put my legs to relax them. :) It really works great and worth it.
