OCTONAUTS: 15 UNDERWATER ADVENTURES

My daughter was so excited to get this DVD in the mail. She has been watching octonauts for over a year. I love how it teaches sea creatures and she catches onto vocabulary as she repeats after her favorite characters. At home she watches their youtube channel which has excerpts from all these episodes, so this DVD allows her to see the rest of the show and since we have a DVD player in the car, it makes trips a breeze. My 3 yr old and 1 yr old are entertained and learning while on our way.

The 15 perhaps "non-spookiest" adventures. All my children love the Octonauts. However, my oldest was very uncomfortable (when younger) with episodes where the Octonauts are in any danger, like when the Giant Squid takes the Octopod into the deep and squeezes it (not on this DVD).We should have started with this DVD. Many dolphin episodes. Lots of reuniting baby animals with their moms/dads. Very sweet.In general, I cannot say enough good things about the "Octonauts" series in general. My favorite as a parent is the "Creature Report", you learn so many fascinating facts about marine biology. They always show a real picture of the animal in the episode at the end, and sometimes this is astounding, in that you never knew the ocean had an amazing creature like the one featured; one of my preschooler's favorite is the Cone Snail, a snail that shoots poisonous harpoons out of its cannon-shaped nose in defense. Don't mess with that snail!

Our children love the Octonauts! It is an informative show presented in a fun and engaging manner. Our children nearly know more about under sea creatures than we do after watching many episodes of Octonauts. We like the show because it focuses on information, teamwork and compassion rather than superhero nonsense and fighting.

This is perfect for children of all ages! What a great program!

My son loves the Octonauts and he learns so much about the animals. This was a great purchase as we have an entertainment center in the car and this allows him to watch tv but also learn at the same time. He is always talking about the animals and things that he learns.
