Being a computer engineer, I get to play around with a lot of tech goodies. But let me tell ya, this StarTech.com USB-C to Dual Gigabit Ethernet Adapter impressed my socks off. The convenience factor is real, folks! With two ethernet adapters coming in the same tiny dongle, it's like a pocket-sized Titan of connectivity! And we're not just talking a two-trick pony, this baby comes with an extra USB 3.0 (Type-A) port. It's like that bonus cherry your favorite ice cream shoppe throws in - unasked but oh so welcomed. What warmed my tech-savvy heart was the easily identifiable MAC addresses on the bottom. Nothing irks me more than having to play guessing games about which port is which. Smooth move StarTech, smooth move. If this bad boy was a flash drive, it would be the superhero one, complete with a cape and a 'USB-C' emblazoned on its chest. For connectivity that's more co-operative than a disciplined marching band, this is a piece of kit that definitely gets my nod of approval!

Works great. I’m using it to monitor a Dante networks (primary and secondary). One thing to note is it is not plug and play, at least not on Mac. You have to download some drivers/software. But once it’s setup I works flawlessly. Highly recommend!

Sent this back because as soon as I took it out of the box the little rubber feet came off. They would not stick back on. Also, when plugged into to it the box got so hot. That alone told me to send it back. I was not impressed with this item.

Some of the rubber feet fell off after even the first use, and for a plastic box it feels expensive, but both ports work and the device functions as expected. The only surprise I found was needing to download drivers from the manufacturer (that may need be updated and there is no automatic notification or mailing list to know when), but once installed, it performed correctly. I learned this chatting with customer support, which was helpful and efficient in handling my issue. If I could, I would rate this 3.5 stars considering, price, build quality, non-plug-and-play, and overall function. It is not a product that fits well within the mac eco-system, but it does what it should.

Ich nutze es zusammen mit SMB3 Multichannel zur Verbindung meines Win 10 Notebooks via Ethernet mit meinem QNAP NAS. So kann man endlich beide Ethernetkabel am QNAP NAS nutzen (auf dem QNAP SMB3 aktivieren). Windows 10 (auf meinem Notebook) kann SMB3 eh schon. Damit komme ich jetzt endlich auf 200MB/s, zumindest wenn ich von SSD auf SSD kopiere. Einfach klasse! Ist ein bisschen teuer als ein normaler USB-Adaper, aber ist aus meiner Sicht das Geld wert. Der USB-Passthrough-Anschluss ist allerdings recht langsam, wenn ich dort eine Festplatte anschiesse schaft er seltsammerweise nur 50 MB/s. Aber das nutze ich ehr nur als Zusatz-USB-Anschuss. Insgesamt bin ich hochzufrieden und habe lange nach einer solchen Lösung gesucht.

Works as its intedended use. Sadly there aren't any dual 2.5G adapters around.

Cet adaptateur permet de combiner ses deux ports gigabit ethernet pour offrir une redondance et un meilleur débit simultané par le réseau via du LACP (agrégation de lien). Attention il faut avoir un switch compatible du coup. Cela permet aussi de connecter un même ordinateur a deux réseau différents.

Works really well and I haven't had any issues so far with it. But it's a bit over-priced.
