Super adhereing
This is the the third one of these I have owned. I have been amazed at how they stick. I have had them on the "please steal my car" placement behind the rear license plate, as well as the wiser position of underneath in a protected place. Both times they have adhered very strongly. Key is easy to remove and replace with the very strong feeling velcro. I DO NOT put an electronic key with door openers etc. in these. It is "weather resistant" but not weather proof. Buy a door key just to ket in a car locked with the key inside. Overall, used with wisdom, I find these the best option.

great hide-a-key pouch for auto
I like to keep a spare key for my car hidden underneath, so that if I lock myself out I can get in immediately. Doesn't happen often, but once is enough.Over the past several years, I have tried using several magnetic key holders, but they just don't have enough holding power for today's potholes and speed bumps - and they bounce off somewhere. My car does not have a layer of rust-proofing, either.I have a loop-and-hook (also called Velcro) key holder on another car, and it has never come off in 15 years. But, when I went looking for another stick-on holder, I was surprised that I couldn't find one in any of the local auto parts stores, hardware stores, or Lowes. What's up with that?Next I turned to Amazon, my favorite online retailer. Well, this Hide-A-Key holder showed up in my search and appeared to be exactly what I wanted. The price is great, too. The magnetic holders are usually in the $5 range, and this was half the price. It arrived quickly, and it was exactly as described. What you don't see in the description is the size of the flat part with the sticky side. I can report that it is about 2 inches by 3 inches, almost the entire size of the pouch itself. Very sticky, too. And the loops hold very tightly to the hooks, for a secure attachment that I do not expect to come loose.

Great key hider!
For years i always used one of those magnetic key hiders that can fall off. About 15 years ago I discovered one of these in a locksmith shop and have used one on my cars since. The key hider consists of a patch of velcro that has sticky back on it- It will adhere to any clean surface (this is important). The other part is a small nylon pocket that has a fold over closure with velcro on it to seal it. I have never lost a key using this system. For the money and the amount of security it provides I say this is a good value. PS- don put this up in sight of your neighbors unless you really trust them-I'm just saying.

Decent but doesn't actually adhere
This does the job, mostly. It has more than enough room for a large key and absolutely dwarfs a house key. There's definitely room to spare and you could fit in a fob as well as a key and then some. You could easily fit in a car key with a fob and a house key if so desired. I found the adhesive to be less successful. I tried it on various surfaces and it doesn't stick very well. I'm sure it would work great against fabric but anything outdoors doesn't work. It usually clings for a few minutes then falls off. Due to the graphic on the other side that says "key holder" it's not exactly a secret. So you'll want to hide it somewhere that can't be seen. The lack of good adhesive compounds that problem. However I find it protects the key very well and with some work I find a great place to hide it so the graphic is hidden. It's durable and well made, if thin, and does mostly what I bought it for. I wish it actually -stuck- somewhere but I can live with it.

Material very thin and subject to tear
I used one of these key holders for three days and the holder developed a hole at the bottom of the holder. The side with the picture of the key is very thin and easily tears.

Why would the manufacturer indicate on the pouch that it's a KEY case?
Particularly if you used this case to store the key in a hidden place outside your home, the verbiage and pictorial description on the case glaringly compromise its security purpose. Nevertheless, because of the low cost, I decided to purchase the case and attempt to remove the information. The bright green writing seemed to be a kind of paint, and a suitable solvent removed it completely. I can now place this plain black pouch in a suitable location without garnering attention regarding its true purpose. That said, I suggest that the purchaser use care to determine whether the chosen solvent can harm the integrity of the case itself.
