Great flat iron that does a great job and looks so pretty!
This straightener is so cool looking. The rainbow titanium plates heat up quickly. I have long hair, and they glide smoothly through my hair without pulling or snagging. It straightens in just one pass, leaving my hair sleek, shiny, and frizz-free. The 1-inch size is perfect for straightening. I haven't tried it for adding curls or waves yet. I like that its versatile. The fun rainbow finish is so pretty - it looks great on my counter. I highly recommend it for its performance and price!!!

Highly recommended
Great straightener. Bought it resale so mine was used. Its fantastic, professional straightener but affordable! The lowest temperature is amazing at 325 and the highest 450 i believe. Its the best for your money !

Performs better than far more expensive flat irons
I own this as well as the Bio Ionic 10x flat iron, which retails for over $200. Comparing the two, they have their pluses and minuses, but considering the price, I'd say this one is the better buy. It actually curls and flat irons more effectively than the Bio Ionic when set to the same temp. Not sure if it's the titanium coating on the plates, but it seems to do a better job of transferring heat. That said, because it's so efficient, I do feel like it damages my hair more than the Bio Ionic. This one also has slightly longer plates that the Bio Ionic by about 0.5" (both have extra long plates when compared to a standard flat iron) and the casing gets less hot when in use. I also like that it has about a one inch section at the end that the plates do not reach, so that area of the casing stays cool and gives me an easy place to place my fingers as I guide the flat iron down the hair. Cons: The cord is too short, but I purchased a 3ft extension cord and solved that problem. Not dual voltage, but that's only an issue if you travel out of the country frequently. Finally, unlike the Bio Ionic, which is smooth as butter, the Conair does snag a bit. I think this is due to the edges of the plate being somewhat unfinished, which leaves them rough. It doesn't snag to the point where it's pulling out hairs, but it does make the experience less pleasant.

Curls and Straightens Perfectly
I bought this iron for curling purposes, and boy does it deliver. The curls last 2 or more days. I used it today to straighten my hair, and it took no time at all and looks great. My hair is a few inches below my shoulders and silver (naturally, not from treating it to make it look that way). I used the lowest temperature (390) and have not needed to venture above that. My only complaint is that the iron does not sit on the counter easily. There are two tiny nubs that are supposed to function as a stand. I wrestle with the iron each time I put it down. If you have a mat or a non-melting surface, this is not a big concern. The iron itself is a very good product, but a little more thought could have been spent on the stand.

Works well, smooths quickly, pretty to look at!
I am a professional hairstylist. Due to recent times my income hasn’t been much. My professional Paul Mitchell flat iron broke in the middle of all of this of course! I looked at reviews and trials of this flat iron online. I have frizzy, wavy hair that is medium thickness and collar bone length. This flat iron worked GREAT! I set it on 355 degrees. It didn’t crunch through my ends (which desperately need a trim from a professional stylist friend and not my kitchen shears on a wine drink Tuesday night) and it smoothed perfectly straight in two passes. The rainbow color is fun and looks pretty when it’s on my counter which is some strange bonus in my book lol I would definitely buy this again based on how well it works and the price. I can’t imagine this will last a long time in a professional setting like I need it to, but for now I’m willing to give it a shot to get me through until I can invest in another professional flat iron.

What do you have to lose?
This might very well be the best flat iron I have ever owned in my life. I have been straightening my hair since I was in middle school. We won't talk about how long ago that was, but it's been quite a while. Throughout the years, I have ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS had expensive, high quality, and name brand flat irons: Paul Mitchell, Babyliss, ETC. The last Babyliss I bought was a $170 flat iron. It was AWFUL. I am someone who takes very good care of my hair and uses top of the line products. When I say I am high maintenance about my hair, I could not be more serious. I have super thick and course hair. My new Babyliss that everyone was crazy about, pulled my hair and just wouldn't flatten it like it should have, especially for the price. I began my search for a new one and found this one. I thought, "for $35 why not?" It is the BEST money I have EVER spent on a hair tool, period. It's light weight, easy to pull through, hot, SO CUTE, and truly a one sweep wonder. As someone who is VERY picky about what she uses on her hair, I hope this helps you decide to just buy it!

Not for thin hair, plates have too wide a gap.
The iron did heat up as described, it’s very pretty and feels well made. Slight potential to snag at the top of the iron. Hate that. The plates seemed smooth enough to glide however my hair just fell out of it. I have thin hair, and even taking larger sections I couldn’t fully glide the plate over my hair and evenly apply the heat because the plates had a gap the hair Just went through. It doesn’t SEEM like the gap is that large but when you have thin hair it is. Someone with thicker or courser hair would probably do fine with it but I’d be very cautionary with your hair type and condition. I feel like this was made for a specific hair type and didn’t consider diversity of hair. As another reviewer mentioned, it burned her hair off. another bit of advice...With irons and esp titanium plates you need to use the right heat for your hair and if you use high heat and have added oils you will scorch or burn your hair causing severe damage. Know your temperature for your hair type and don’t use heavy oils or bio silk with high heat. I scorched my hair once that way using a much lower temperature even (under 350) a lot of users are thinking they need the iron to go to 400+ To get one pass and such, most really don’t need that and you’re killing your hair growth and causing damage. You should never see steam or anything vapor off your hair as it is ironed. It can cause your hair to thin, split, fry, and stop growing. You end up needing to straighten your hair more often because of the damage you’re doing. Just a tip. Titanium heats up fast and (in theory should cool down just as fast but not with this iron), maintains high heat, most thin to moderate hair types don’t need this type of appliance and May find better results with a ceramic tourmaline iron. Your mileage my vary tho, lastly I’ll say this, if you have thicker hair (women of color for example) skip the cheapo irons and invest in something that is going to go the extra mile for you, a lot of the mass market drugstore irons I think are limited in that area. To be fair, the best iron I’ve owned to date is a contain infinity pro ceramic tourmaline. But it is almost 10 years old and I want a new one. So I’m on the hunt but it may end up being a higher news device this time.
