I love it. Simple enough to set up. A tad long winded but once it's done you only need tweak your printing options from your comp, or via the app. For me, an old dude pushing 60, it was a breeze. I only need a printer at home for the odd A4 paper print out, so opted for one with an option to print photos. Something we just never seem to do anymore. Of course I have dozens of pics of the kids, grandkids, dawg etc on hard drives and clouds everywhere but none I can display. This little bit of kit has soon put paid to that. I practiced with a few pics I had on some very old photo paper I've had stashed away for years and the results were brilliant. So I hastily ordered more photo paper an ink, and have literally printed dozens of 6"x4" pics a from the ink that came with the printer. I can't compare the print quality of these to other printers because I'm not a pro reviewer and don't have ten others to compare them with. However, as a very English grumpy old man I can can say my prints are all I could want from them. I've created a couple of framed "mish mashed" pics of all the aforementioned family and more, and am very happy with the results. I kept on printing to see how long before the ink ran out and have had to quit because I have an abundance of photos and no sign of it running out yet. Therefore, this ageing punk is well pleased 👍

The Epson XP-900 has a lot of features packed into a small body. There are some compromises to be had to get it into this size but for this price and the things you can do in one machine, its worth it. This printer has an A4 scanner and prints A4 and photographs as most printers do and has duplex printing too. But it can also print on CD/DVD and will print A3 if you need to. All this in a printer no bigger than a standard A4 desk printer. Connectivity is by USB or Wi Fi and there are several Wi Fi options although I only use it connected to my home network. Setup was easy and I had it up and running pretty quickly. Photo printing is good and there is an SD card slot and USB if you want to print directly without using a computer. To fit A3 printing in a printer this small means that you have to feed the paper in from a rear feeder and you can only print one sheet at a time, so if you do a lot of A3 printing this may not be the printer for you. But if like me you only print A3 occasionally then it's worth that small hassle to keep the size of the printer down. You can print any size in the rear tray including photos, so if you don't want to swap out the paper in the A4 tray for the odd photo, this is useful. Printing CDs is one thing I still need from a printer and this printer does this as easily as any other printer I have owned. The CD tray is stored under the printer and is easy to access when needed. The software that comes with a printer is often as important as the printer itself. Other makes I have had seem to have dumbed down their software over the years with many of the useful features being removed in place of easy to use and fairly useless features being added. This Epson though has all the functionality that I have been missing and the software is still easy to use. It even has an A5 booklet feature when duplexing. Something that I had on my previous make of printer but had not seen on Epson's before. There is no touch screen and all the panels and trays have to been moved manually but I prefer this approach and it probably keeps the cost of the printer down considering all its features. So if you want a printer that has both CD and occasional A3 printing in a small form factor machine then this will fit the bill.
