Just finished installing the security lock. Follow directions and you will get a good security system for your door. Very easy to use, just slide lever to left to lock and to right unlock. Easy as that. A really great product to secure your door from unwanted intruders.

I have had these locks on double doors for a couple of years now. They are still fantastic and every time I unlock them I think about how happy I am that I got them. Easy to install, VERY secure, even for double doors!!! I would say they are the only way to go with double doors! I highly recommend these.

I used longer screws but I love 💕 the locks very functional and easy to install and use. I feel like my lil toddler is safer and i don’t have to worry about her running outside without me knowing.

The wall and the door should be close to flush. My door is recessed in about 1 inch from the wall.. And my wall corners are rounded. I had to make a 3/4" thick block about 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" tall and wide, then attach it to the door using a double sided special tape that is removable in case I want to remove it, I did not mark up the door. You also must drill the holes for the screws dead center as the head of the screws are the size of the units cut out holes that are used to attach it to the inside of the door frame to keep it where you want it. The first on I did I had the holes too far back and the corner of the unit that goes around the wall was a touch too close, this caused some cosmetic seperation on the wall rounded corner seem. The next one I did I made sure the distance and the drill holes were right on and it came out perfect. The sliding lock part is just about flush to the door now with very little space between because of the block I used. The unit is easy to use and looks ok. It does make some noise when you unlock it, lock it, so if in a bedroom and someone else is sleeping it makes a metal rattle click noise during operation. Don't know how strong it will be if one tries to kick the door in? Hoping it will make it difficult.

I like the overall quality of them, but the set screws moved while installed causing it to not slide any longer making me to have to buy stubby Allen Wrenches to jimmy in there and adjust them (I would rather not remove them as that would compromise the security of the initial wood screw installation). I wish you would have mentioned something like this being a problem, that way I could have loctited the set screws.

These add a definate new level of security to outside doors on my house. And, they don't take away from the door's appearance. They are easy to use too. Definately recommend.

This item works great! Allows latching the door and fades into the background of my stained wood.
