Ein günstiges Gerät vom Markenhersteller. Klein und kompakt. Kabel recht kurz, aber mal ehrlich, entweder hat man am Standort genügend Steckdosen oder hat eine Mehrfach-Steckdosenleiste. Ich finde es eher positiv, kein Kabelsalat. Kein HDMI Kabel dabei, ist auch in Ordnung, wir sind in der Preisklasse um 40€! Sowas hat man doch eh in der Sammelkiste rumliegen. An meinem 11 Jahre alten TV von LG mit 3 HDMI Anschlüssen hatte ich jedoch Probleme, den DVD Player in Betrieb zu nehmen, ich dachte schon er sei defekt. Kurz mal ein blauer Hintergrund und Sony Schriftzug, dann vom TV ich soll den Anschluss prüfen. An HDMI 2 gesteckt, das gleiche Spiel. Dann ins Wohnzimmer, ausprobiert - funktioniert. Schnellsetup öffnen, einrichten. Wieder ins Schlafzimmer, geht wieder nicht. Ich schon gedanklich bei der Rücksendung und dann erinnerte ich mich an verschiedene HDMI Standards. Der alte TV im Schlafzimmer hatte noch einen 3. HDMI mit dem Zusatz MHL, den versucht und es läuft. Keine Ahnung, was wie wo. Zwischenzeitlich auch mit den CHINCH weiß/rot/gelb angeschlossen, das lief auch nicht. Mit HDMI MHL läuft es, hoffe es bleibt so. Ich finde die einfachen Menüs gut. Ich brauche den ganzen schnickschnack nicht. Fernbedienung funktioniert tadellos. Würde es wieder kaufen. Also nicht vorschnell zurücksenden, probiert ALLE HDMI Anschlüsse am TV aus! Wahrscheinlich insbesondere bei älteren TV Geräten.

I’m really pleased with this Sony DVD player’s performance as a CD transport paired with an external DAC. It offers both optical and coaxial digital outputs, giving you flexibility in how you connect it to your system. The loading speed is impressively fast, and the remote control is well-designed and responsive. At this price point, it’s hard to beat for pure audio playback through a quality DAC. Happy to recommend it as a budget-friendly CD transport, though I haven’t tested its DVD playback capabilities.
