Great to bridge cabinet gaps
Absolutely perfect! If you're not afraid to wire up your own ethernet cable or if you have one of length, these work perfectly. I wanted to bridge my Philips Hue strip to the extension but my cabinets separate for the sink, these extensions made it super simple to run an Ethernet cable up and around the sink and connect up to the extension. Great build, flexible and affordable solution.

Yes, they lock.
These indeed do lock, unlike what other reviewers have said. I will say that they really had limited utility for me personally. I just used the cut end to cut end connectors and directly spliced cat 5e segments between the lightstrip segments. Maybe for other people their use will be more obvious. They are well built and do the intended job. And yes, they do lock.

Worked great, but I wish they supplied pins for every connector
So far these things work great! My only wish, is that they included the pins on every connector. I desoldered my hue strip so I had two equal pieces which were perfect for under our cabinets. Then I soldered the pins to each end, connected the adapter and ran some old Cat5e cable I had left over and it worked great! Again, I just wish they supplied pins for every connector.

Works good
I used a bunch of these for some top/bottom cabinet lights. I used CAT6 cable and they all worked well. I wish the 6-pin end snapped to the next piece a little more to aid in hard turns, but it’s not bad as long as you run the cables without hairpin turns.

Allows you to use Cat-5 to run power to a Hue strip
This came in very handy to run power from one side of the kitchen to the other so I only needed one power source for my cabinets. I used the Y-splitter at one corner of the kitchen cabinets, running Cat-5 up the wall into the attic, and back down behind the other corner and another Y.

Good but only 2 female-to-male pin adapters??
Great for running long runs of extension cable between strips. However, they only include pins (female-to-male adapter) for 2 of the 6-pin sides, which is super weird. My setup is V4 strip > cut > cut-end to 6-pin adapter (solder) > 6-pin to RJ45 adapter > CAT5 > RJ45 to 6-pin adapter > 6-pin to cut-end adapter (solder) > cut-end of second strip.I wanted to do two cabinet runs like this with the 4 RJ45 adapters but I only have enough pin adapters for two (one run). I have no clue why they’d only supply 2 of these, especially since the cut-end to 6-pin adapters don’t come with them at all. Super weird and annoying.

Everything I expected.
Easy to install, simple. I’ve used several expansions on my hue system, and even with a 15m ethernet cable the system functions perfectly. Can be slightly cheaper though. It’s a simple pug and pin expansion.

The pin out will not work on newer style hue lights . Spaced to far apart
Product will not fit new generation hue .

Didn't work, returned for a refund
Unfortunately when using this product with my v4 light strips one of the light channels was completely lost meaning all my colours were totally off the other strips that came before this extension. Its a real shame as the concept is absolutely brilliant.

Worked perfectly!
I needed to be able to have the Hue light strip far away 20' away from the control box. This cable paired with the Controller to 6-Pin adapter worked great. Thanks to other reviewers for pointing out that if this doesn't work, you can just reverse the connector. I'd recommend wiring it up on the ground first to test everything is the right way round. If I was to offer one critique its that the wire on the strip + Controller to 6-Pin adapter + this cable are about 10 inches long. That's fine if you're underneath kitchen cabinets, but harder to manage if the strip and wiring are visible.

Muy útil
Funciona a la perfección, ideal para mejorar tu decoración a muy bajo precio y con buenos resultados. No tiene ningún problema con las tiras led de Philips. Lo recomiendo amplia mente.

Updated Review - Finally v4 is available for newer version of LED strips
The latest version of the Philips Hue lightstrip with bluetooth has a micro 6 pin connection, these are for the old version which has a larger six pin connector so are unfortunately not compatible. Returned for a refund.UPDATE - my kitchen cupboard lights were the old style LED strips, when the first strip failed I replaced it with the latest version not realising the connectors had been changed so for months only one out of my three LED strips has worked (Previous house owners fit the lights). Checked back to see if the micro adapters were available to find they were. Ordered the four pack in case I need to replace any other strips in the future but plugged in the new adapter and hey presto all my lights are now working. If you do plug the adapter in and find it doesn’t work unplug and turn it over and it should do the job. Really happy to finally have the lights all working.
