Worked as expected, installed easily and no issues after using device for a while now..
Purchased for a Under cabinet lighting project and installed the power supply in the attic with a dimmer switch. Unit installed easily and works well. The two legs of lighting worked well for my particular install. Unit seems to be built well and is of a solid design. Between this power supply and the selected dimmer it works well.

Good quality
The contractor wanted me to order this for under my kitchen cabinet lighting. Is good quality, protected wires, takes up a small space inside my cabinet.

It actually works with a dimmer!!
Wow an LED driver / power supply that actually dims the LEDs!!! I thought there was something wrong with my LEDs or dimmer as I tried two different PLUSPOE dimmers that did not actually dim anything and also buzzed. This driver actually works, and works well. I am using the 12v/24watt one to drive 8x half moon 12v LED stair lights. I am also using a Leviton 6674 dimmer in the wall. There is no switching noise from this driver, the construction is solid and the dimming is smooth without flicker. Completely worth the higher price than non certified drivers. The only thing that was odd is that it did not come with a power cord. The lack of a power cord was not a big deal as I had one laying around, but I could see it bothering other people. I have a light switch controlling half of a receptacle in low voltage box, so I did need one.

Electrician approved
One of the few LED drivers that can be dimmed in compliance with the NEC for electrical inspection. The cord that came with it can be unscrewed and the driver can be hardwired with 14-2 romex. The connections are circuit board terminal blocks on each end, so they required a jeweler screwdriver. Be sure to hold the blocks when tightening the screws, so the block doesn't torque off the circuit board. The unit does soft start and ramp to full in 1 sec. Other than that, there isn't a 3 sec delay to warm up like cheap switching power supplies have before they instantly pop on at full brightness. That's nice. I had no problem using a z-wave smart dimmer. I used the a Linear aka Nortek aka GoControl model WD500Z5 zwave dimmer and it successfully burned in so far for 1 day. It does get very warm, even pushing only 10 watts. Like a hot McDs coffee cup hot. Not too hot to start papers on fire, but too warm to be comfortable holding. Plan for that when mounting. Also, If you wired several LED homeruns instead of daisy chaining the runs, be sure to plan on wirenuts or a terminal block to connect to the driver- it only has internal room for 1 #12 pair of wires. You have no internal room for other connections. I powered 10 watts of LED under cabinet LED tape. The cables in the pic are 14-2 romex and 16-2 cl2 riser cable. No issues with those gauges.

A high-quality dimmable, "universal" 120V to 12V DC LED driver power supply
The Armacost Lighting 840600 is a high quality, dimmable power supply for 12V LED fixtures or systems. COMPATIBILITY: This power supply should be compatible with a wide range of 120V dimmers. The installation instructions state the following: "Armacost Dimming LED Drivers are compatible with both forward phase (leading edge, triac, incandescent) and reverse phase (electronic low-voltage, ELV, and trailing edge) AC dimmers ... They are also compatible with low-voltage PWM dimmers and RGB color controllers. "Although virtually all dimmers will work with Armacost Dimmable LED Drivers, Armacost Lighting recommends dimmers that can be programmed or have an adjustment dial to set the low end dimming range." BUILT IN CONNECTORS: The built in connectors work well and quickly. They need to have some of the outer insulation to clamp onto, to keep the stress of any pull on the wire from going to the terminal connection itself. So don't strip too much of the inner or outer insulation. LOW MINIMUM POWER LOAD: The minimum power load is just 5 watts. VOLTAGE: Output is 12V DC. DIMENSIONS: It's somewhat large, at 7-1/16 inches long by 2-3/8 inches wide by 1-3/8 inches high. ENCLOSURES: If you want an enclosure, Armacost makes variations with enclosures for conduit connections. The only real negative is the cost, though of course having a high-performing, high quality power supply makes it a reasonable value. Lower-watt drivers are less expensive than this one. The manufacturer's website has lots more info, including specs and installation instruction. TWO WARNINGS: First, be sure to get a power supply rated with enough watts to cover your needs. Second, be careful to get a power supply with the right input voltage. Armacost makes a line of 12V dimmers and matching power supplies. This product is the universal power supply, to be used with a range of dimmers and 120V.

They work flawlessly
These drivers are great and no issues. I bout two for each side of my tally kitchen so that I didn't have to wire through the ceiling which would have been more labor intense and costly.

Will not interfere with the nearby radios and receivers
Not only is this well built, but it doesn’t blast out electrical noise that interferes with nearby radio receivers! This replaced another Chinese one that was cheap but did not have the FCC part 15 class B certification.

I have these in all my undercounting lighting. They work great and support full 0-100% dimming range, no flickers. I use them with Zooz Zen77 V2 Z-Wave dimmers (MOSFET, trailing edge).

Bought this after reading it worked with Lutron Caseta dimmers and am happy to confirm that this is indeed true. I wanted to replace existing under-cabinet halogens with led strip lights, controlled by an existing dimmer located across the room. The problem with all the other transformer units I found was that they had to be wired in this order: power -> transformer -> dimmer -> leds. To keep using my existing dimmer across the room, I needed to be able to wire it in the order: power -> dimmer -> transformer -> leds. I was so thankful to find this transformer which lets the dimmer be wired EITHER WAY. Also, the dimming control is very smooth, no flicker at all. Very happy with this purchase.

I’m writing this review with 2 years of use on the transformer. Zero issues, at low or high lite settings, on a LED tape run of 30’. Installation was also easy and straightforward.

A couple of years ago I replaced the bulbs in our 12 kitchen under-counter halogen puck lights with two-pin LED bulbs, but got some flickering that got worse over time. Replacing our old 12V AC transformer with this lower-power DC version has fixed that right up. I may replace our old dimmer with a newer one because the dimming is not very gradual and it's probably the dimmer's fault not the driver, but otherwise I like this setup. When an LED dies, it's a lot cheaper and environmentally friendly to just replace a bulb rather than a whole puck like most of the newer ones require.

Low profile, easy to use. No issues.
