Works exactly as described. Highly recommend.
The 4th incubator I ordered! The others simply didn't work correctly, and they failed to be effective in hatching eggs. This is a moderately priced unit. We could not afford the $1000 to $1500 models, and the less expensive ones were junk. We were blessed to find this Brinsea. It was affordable, and worked exactly as described. Held both temp and humidity stable. We have used it only once, with 8 eggs (considering our bad experiences with other brands, we didn't want to invest many fertile eggs to it!). We had 100% hatch rate, and now, about 5 weeks later, they are all thriving. I am confident in recommending it.

Love it!
I’m really impressed with this incubator! I used it for my most recent hatch with shipped eggs, and I’m thrilled to report a 90% hatch rate, which is amazing considering how delicate shipped eggs can be. The temperature and humidity controls are accurate and easy to adjust, and I love how quiet it runs. The design is user-friendly, with clear instructions that made the process straightforward, even for a first-time user like me. The automated turning feature was a huge plus, saving me time and effort. I’m definitely confident in using this incubator for future hatches, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for reliable results!

Highly recommend
GREAT incubator! Easy to use. Love how it functions. Really nice design. Can accommodate various size eggs: chicken, turkey, duck eggs. Automatic - it does the work for you. Could not be happier with the versatility.

Worth the money, just bite the bullet
I bought the Ovation 28 ex (auto humidity control)and it holds the temperature and humidity exactly where I set it IMO. The difference (among features like cooling cycle/egg rotate timer, etc.) is it has an adjustable vent hole that allows you to get rid of excess humidity and maintain a level %. Inconsistent temperature and humidity is why cheaper units fail. The adjustable vent removes the excess humidity in the beginning and allows you to fine tune and maintain consistent humidity % afterwards. Humidity too high, open a little until it is drops the level. Cheaper units don’t. There’s more than that reason to buy it of course. The hardest thing to get used to is not going and checking on it every hour because it’s perfect, every time. It has a small hose that goes to a water bottle and a self-contained pump so you really don’t have to do anything. You buy this because you want all or most of your eggs to hatch. I don’t have anything to do until it’s time to remove the eggs from the carriage so they can hatch. I know the price is hard to swallow but if you can find it at a discount, buy it.

Will not sustain temperature
Initially, I thought this was the best thing since sliced bread. I set it up, ran it a few days prior to monitor humidity and temperature and it didn't seem like it budged. On day 10, I candled my duck eggs. I put the cover back on, ensured it was tight (cover is heavy and a little awkward to handle) and the high-temperature alarm sounded. I checked everything out again, put the cover back on and it sounded again and kept climbing. the temperature reached an egg killing temperature of 120 degrees. I turned the machine off, and let it sit overnight. The next day I attempted to use it again and it reached 115 degrees before I shut it off. The product is defective. I'm not sure what happened but it's unusable at those temperatures for poultry eggs. I contacted the company and heard no reply (but to be fair it was Saturday morning at 2 AM). I also requested a replacement from Amazon since the product was defective. I believe this is a good incubator, but there is sometimes one person that gets a bad product. Unfortunately, that person was me. If the second one does the same thing, I will not repurchase this particular product. By the way, with temperatures that high humidity will not be correct either.**update** Brinsea did connect with me the following Monday and wanted me to troubleshoot with them but I already sent it back via UPS. Tuesday I received the replacement from Amazon and so far it's holding temperature and humidity.
