It’s good if you’re beginner but it’s flimsy
It’s good if it’s your first Balisong because it’s not pricy and you get a good feel of it. Flimsy and bad assembly quality. Lock mechanism is hard to undo and value for money is good because only $10 and I had points so I got it for 0.93 cents. Color is good. Opening the package was easy.

Well worth the price!
This practice knife is nicer than a lot of balisong knives I have seen for sale. It is stylish, well finished, and has spring loaded handles. It feels sturdy with no play, and handles perfectly.I will buy more to give away. My friends at the gun store will need practice knives to sell alongside their balisong knives.

Durable, Well Designed, Priced Well Below What It Is Worth.
This Review Is of the VORNNEX Balisong Training Knife Only.First Impression: Nice looking, with classic lines and a beefy construction that should hold up quite well for the occasional drops that happen when practicing a new trick.Construction: All metal, stainless steel construction. Classic design with moderately heavy handles tapered from the latch to the tang. The handles and training blade are lightened with a series of through holes, with the handle holes chamfered and buffed to create a secure but comfortable grip. Two tang pins prevent over travel of the handles. A spring latch holds the knife securely closed when not in use. The handle pivot is accomplished using permanent rivets. This is good for durability, but not so good for adjustability.Fit and Finish: Decidedly not perfect, but much better than I was expecting for the price. Holes are not perfectly aligned. Some of the curves are not perfectly cut. You may find the occasional void at the edge of a rivet. That said, you have to look reasonably close to find these minor issues. Only one significant flaw was found in testing, i.e. a tendency for the safe handle to bind occasionally. This was subsequently corrected and covered fully later in this review.Review: My requirements for a trainer are not the same as my requirements for a collectible knife or a carry knife. Your actual mileage may vary. What I look for in a trainer are good function and durability. While I might prefer screws for pivot pins on a carry knife to facilitate maintenance and adjustment, I prefer riveted pins for trainers because they are extremely durable and cannot be lost.In testing this knife over a period of several weeks, I found it to be smooth functioning and extremely durable, with the exception of a tendency for the safe handle to occasionally bind. I received a post-sale email from the vendor reminding me of their lifetime guarantee and desire to make good any problems I had with my knife. Noting that the handle bind seemed to get worse over time, I decided to go straight to the vendor and test out their customer service and warranty at the same time. There were a few missteps on both sides because of how Amazon forwards messages between vendors and customers, but eventually they made it clear that they were sending me a replacement in the form of a 99% off, single use coupon code for Amazon. They even provided me with a three dollar refund so that my total cost reflected the new lower price! That's what I call customer service!Unfortunately, the new knife came with a similar binding issue, but this time on the bite handle. Rather than try a third time for a perfect-out-of-the-box experience, I decided to try adjusting the knife myself. I waited until the next bind and pushed a standard screwdriver between the scales of the bite handle at about the midpoint on the handle. That successfully loosened the pivot joint and I now have free swinging handles on both sides. Conclusions: I really don't believe that you can get a better trainer at twice the price. Yes, there were some problems with both of the knives that I received, but they turned out to be easily corrected and the vendor support is simply as good as it gets. I deducted one full star for the binding issues. Overall, both the knife and the vendor that backs it have exceeded my expectations in every regard. If you want a balisong trainer that can do all the tricks and stand up to a bit of training abuse, you won't find one better than this! The low price and incredible support are just an amazing bonus!

SO cool!
This thing is AWESOME!!No sharp edges, and it's not super heavy, but it's not flimsy either. It seems to be pretty well-made, and it doesn't catch or anything when in use.It folds up easily as well. It's pretty accurate, comparing it to an actual butterfly knife, though the real thing is a bit heavier. But that's because a good blade will weigh more, so that makes sense, and is reasonable to consider.Excellent training tool for learning how to safely maneuver a real one.It noticeably helps improve hand/eye coordination and dexterity in general. I've seen a huge improvement in about 2 weeks in my son.Everyone in the household uses it. It's definitely a fun little guy.

Still have all my fingers
If I didn’t have the trainer I wouldn’t!

Decent for the price, but be careful!!
It’s ok, but you really have to sand down the four inside edges of the channels. They are sharp enough to cut you.

THE practice balisong to buy! High Quality!
After hearing some pro butterfly knife flippers' low opinion of buying any practice balisong, let alone one off amazon, let alone one under $200, I seriously questioned why I even ordered one here at all. Many pros will tell you anything under $200 "won't last", "isn't good to practice with", "is useless for flipping", etc., etc. And I'm not a pro and the blade just came in the mail so I haven't put it through the ringer, but....just from my first impression, this is just as good of a practice flipper as any. The REAL bonus is the company comtacted me right after I placed my order and told me that if I need parts, repair, etc., they'll cover it. And when it comes to balisongs, that is almost more important than the actual quality of the knife. It also has brass washers, not plastic or other material, so that's a plus. And of course, it's nice looking, haha! It looks like a great starter if you want to get into flipping!

Good quality on a budget
Good quality for the price, i was expecting a loose and flimsy Balisong (a.k.a. butterfly knife) trainer, but it's actually firm and has lasted quite awhile. My 9 year old son still trains with it, he was 6 or 7 when i got it for him. I use it myself to show him how to do different flip tricks with it. I use to be a balisong enthusiast and had learned many tricks during those years. This trainer compared to other cheap trainers is one of the better balanced for flipping, but it's not perfect. It's inexpensive, but you get a little bit better than what you pay for. I must recommend for anyone on a budget, or anyone starting out with bali-songs. Remember, balisong flipping or fanning is an art and like with any art good tools can be expensive, but with better tools you can better perfect your art. A $15 trainer won't be like a $50 trainer. A good place to find quality trainers and knives is BladeHQ, they have a wide selection of quality "tools" on their website, but for something cheap that looks cool Amazon is just fine. Thank you, may you have a good flipping day.
