Works well for detangling and brushing my standard poodle. It’s have to add a bit more in areas where he’s prone to tangles. Adds a nice shine as well! A little goes a long way, so the bottle will last us for months.

Chris Christensen Ice On Ice spray has worked really well for a difficult Pomeranian double coat. This spray has made his coat much easier to line brush and get down to the skin. His cottony undercoat mats easily so daily brushing is necessary to avoid painful mats. Since my daughter (his sitter) has been using this spray his Coat is softer and has improved. The fragrance is light and pleasant.

I use CC ice on Ice on my persians both on wet coats after bathing for detangling and in between to keep the comb gliding through their coats with no snagging for a smooth experience for them. The directions say to spray sparingly and that's all you'll need. (Give it a second and then comb through, I found that's how it works best to do it. On dry coats, you can spray it on your comb then through the coat, or spray directly on the coat, but don't over spray. Use sparingly. I don't have problems with matting because I don't allow my cats get matted so cannot answer for problems like that. This is a grooming aid for as I have mentioned and works extremely well. A favorite among persian cat owners!(also a tip, says you can use for tear stains with a q-tip...I did try this and it works!) Seems to help the coat dry faster after bathing too! Leaves it soft and luxurious... I've been bathing my own persians for over 40 years.

Good product, but not my top choice. Pricey for a second choice detangler for dogs. The spray bottle works well. I use on two Standard Poodles and a Bichon Frisée, all have long froofy hair. I don’t see that this adds shine at all, but it does make hair easier to brush on dry or damp hair. It does help minimize hair breakage and slows getting tangles between brushing. The higher price is for the brand name, not because it’s a superior product (IMHO).

Nothing beats Chris Christensen products! Worth the extra few bucks for products that deliver as promised. Makes grooming our full coated Cavalier easy. Helps remove tangles, smells great and leaves coat shinny and soft.

The detangler is OK. I would say it’s not much different than the others. The scent is very subtle unlike many other dog detangler. I like the scent a lot. My issue with this product is that the bottle leaks. It was leaking in the bag when I got it. I put the spray cap on it very tightly but every time the bottle tips over it leaks everywhere. I’ve spilled more product than I’ve used. At this price spilling it makes me very upset. If it wasn’t so expensive, I wouldn’t be crying over spilled detangler!

Our sheltie has such a thick coat, that brushing down through her undercoat to properly groom her can be a long and exhausting task for both humans and pup alike. Brushing her without a detangler can damage her coat and skin. This detangler works amazingly well, and makes grooming far nicer and more efficient. If her coat is getting too thick, I part the fur, spritz a bit of the detangler into the undercoat and gently work my way in from outercoat to undercoat. For our girls fur, various combs work best for removing shed fur that’s caught up in her undercoat. Next I part a little way above, and repeat. I do this until, I can easily part her fur and see her skin clearly. Then we bath her, dry her, and brush her one more time with this sprayed lightly, as a finishing spray, over her outer coat. Works brilliantly, and leaves her soft and silky. One word of advice though, don’t let this spray get on the floor. We throw down a large tarp before we start grooming. The name ice on ice, is most accurate when it comes to floors. Before we thought to use the tarp, we managed to get this spray on our floor. For the next two days, despite mopping, everyone was slipping across the kitchen floor, like a bunch of inept ice skaters, dogs included. Dinner time, was more like a bumper car rink. So just be warned. This stuff does exactly what it says.

This product is a must have for pet owners with long haired dogs ... helps with easy brush out or comb out great grooming product

I have a long-haired dog (hair, NOT fur) whose thick hair mats VERY easily. This is a very good product for canine hair coats. I suggest buying a VERY fine-nozzled spray bottle for best application. I can't comment on this product for canine fur coats; that's a completely different type of need.

I purchased this after using numerous other premium products for my fur baby with a little skepticism. However, this is an amazing product. I tried it first during the later days of my Akita blowing his winter coat. And I wanted something to make sure that I don’t have to vacuum my house multiple times during these blowing periods. I use just 4-5 sprays from about 30-40 cms from my dog before brushing his coat. And after I started using it I never found loose fur on my dog during the day. His coat now feels more soft and lustrous rather than dry after some of the other products that I have used. After his shedding, I use it once or twice in a week before brushing his coat and it gives a wonderful texture and finish to his coat. Absolutely love it and definitely recommend it to anyone who understands how problematic and irritating it is for the pet during the shedding and even for the pet parents. And for pet parents who want their babies to look like show ready after a simple brushing.
