Worked perfectly

Received an authentic Panasonic product in packaging, holds a charge, appears new ... used to power a Lumix DC-ZS70 camera w 700mm zoom and 20.1mp sensor. Should be good for about 360+ regular pix per charge, expect less if you use features a lot, or lots of on-and-off. In other words, if you buy this or a comparable camera, you need a back-up battery. The battery takes quite a while to charge so you need a back-up battery anyway. Costs more than but is highly preferred over aftermarket brands because it is compatible with Panasonic charger and accessories, and any problems with it will not void your camera warranty. They work as they should for the Panasonic camera I have. I am very pleased with how they worked during the eclipse and thereafter. I prefer brand name over generic (although generic is the only option for older cameras) because they hold a charge longer and the camera works faster in my experience. I have more confidence in a brand name battery when it comes to a camera, that is my personal preference.

OEM quality.

I learned the hard way not to buy a "compatible" battery for an item. This battery is for a point-and-shoot digital camera, and I had previously bought two Duracell batteries, which not only didn't last but started to bulge to the point where you couldn't get them out of the camera! I invested in the original Lumix Panasonic battery to be sure I wouldn't have this problem again. Always get the original.

I tried to save money buying no name batteries for my Panasonic Lumix camera. The batteries were either too thick for the battery compartment making it VERY difficult to extract or they didn’t hold a charge well. I finally bought the OEM battery and am VERY happy I did. In fact, I ended up buying two. The charge lasts long and it’s the proper fit for the battery compartment.

In my experience the generic brands were much shorter lived than the Panasonic brand. This battery was also far less expensive than buying a Leica branded battery!

I went through a series of aftermarket batteries for my cameras. Just buy original batteries, others may work well when you first get them but they will soon disappoint you. I produce videos for a living. When using a gimbal you have to balance the camera on the gimbal. When switching batteries from Panasonic to an aftermarket battery I was having to re-balance the gimbal because the aftermarket batteries are lighter than the original. What a pain in the @- -! Additionally the aftermarket batteries quickly fade to become nearly useless. I realize the original batteries are more money but completely worth it!!!

I bought it as second battery for our 8 years old Lumix GX7 that still works as new. I never thought I'd find an OEM battery for it because Panasonic wants around $100 plus tax and shipping. Thank you Amazon for carrying it at a more reasonable cost.

Bought this as a spare for my Panasonic GX85 instead of those cheap 3rd party batteries. I can trust that this is a high quality battery that will last, hold its charge for longer, is safer to use, won't swell or suddenly die and has been through better quality assurance compared to cheap 3rd party batteries. This battery is cheaper on Amazon than what other retailers sell it for where it's typically priced at $79 while Amazon's price can often stay lower at $59.
