Best upright walker ever!!!!
I had the traditional type walker that I used periodically, but after knee surgery and having to use all the time for a while, the handles made both my hands and my back hurt from having to lean forward to both push it and keep it far enough in front of me that it didn’t bump my knee. I already have major back issues and DJD in my hands along with arthritis, so my other walker was killing me. I saw one of these at a class reunion and told myself I needed to have one of these instead of the traditional one so as not to put all the pressure on my hands and back. I didn’t want to spend money out of pocket, figured it should be covered by insurance. Of course all my insurance wanted to cover was the traditional one even after my doctor wrote a note saying I needed the stand up straight ones, so I just decided to forget it. After the knee surgery and it killing both my back and my hands I broke down and ordered this one. OH MY GOSH!!! What a difference!!! I wish I would have invested in one of these years ago!! It’s so much easier on both my back (from not having to lean forward and over) and my hands (since you’re supported by your forearms), I wanted to kick myself for not getting one years ago. They only thing I’m not quite sure about is having to transport it. I’ve kept this one at home and used the smaller one for my car, but I absolutely hate having to use the other one. I’ll have to update this review once I’ve actually folded it up and put it in the car to go somewhere. I know it’s going to be a little heavier because of the extra parts for your arms and hands, but if I can manage, I know it will be worth it. The maneuverability and ease of use AND the strength of quality this one has is far superior to all the others. Don’t wait like I did if you’re sitting on the fence. It’s worth every penny. Your back and hands will thank you for it!!!

You can walk with your back straught.
I love it. It is so easy to use & assemble (all the pieces are labeled with alphabet letters so there is no doubt where they go.) It is totally & easily adjustable both in height & also the length of the arms. It will fit anyone tall or short. The best thing is that you walk with your back straight & it has relieved my back pain.

Not as heavy as it looks
I ordered an upright because I got tired of looking at the floor when I was walking. I assembled it myself and it was a pretty simple job. I didn't have to adjust the wheel braking at all. The hand brakes, that is the handles, are a little tight and I will probably experiment with untightening the bolts through the handles. The product appears to be brand new, untouched, but there is a sticker on the box that says it is a returned item. Also, there was a printed note in the box that said something like "Thank you for giving me another life". I was not aware that I was to receive an opened box return. I thought I was getting a brand new never opened item. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out why it was returned. This really is a brand new item. I live in a very large, 1400 resident, independent living apartment complex. Tonight I used the upright instead of my regular rollator to walk down to the mail room ( 1/4 mile, each way, all indoors). My only complaint is that after about 5 minutes I started to feel pressure on the muscles above my shoulder blades. I'm guessing that it's just the new use of those muscles and that the distress will go away as the muscles strengthen. Walking was easier, I was able to have a normal stride and my quadriceps in my thighs did not get as tired as when I was bent over using the normal rollator. I am also concerned about stability if, somehow, I should lose my balance and tip sideways. The unit is pretty tall, all the settings except for the wheel support heights are at maximum length. That raises the center of gravity. Those little projections on the rear wheels to aid the lifting of the front to go over bumps is a good idea. I found it useful a couple of times. But mostly, one has to be aware of where one is going and not plunge headlong into a big bump. After several more days of use, I am pleased to say that the discomfort in my shoulder blades did subside, and surprisingly, when standing at rest without the walker, I'm finding it easier to pull my body into an erect position. Unfortunately, it's only temporary; I still need the rollator to walk. Oh, I have an observation for the person who said the brake handles don't lock. As I said above, I found them very tight, but they do move. You have to push them away from you, towards the front, using the heel of your hand. I tried loosening the screws, but they are extremely tight and I don't want to strip the screwdriver slots. I'm going to try a small spray of WD40 oil. That's a very minor flaw. The unit is really worthy of the 5 stars I am now giving it.

Love standup walking, but brakes & seat are not as expected.
Cannot lock the brakes-they work only while you hold the handles. The handles impede sitting because they squeeze the upper body in even tho the seat is ample.. But standing and walking upright is a joy. I can walk a normal pace. Easy to assemble and sturdy.

Promotes better posture
Anyone who needs to use a walker long term should consider getting this walker. It promotes better posture especially if you have back problems

Solid walker and great customer support!
I bought the walker on 9/21/24. It was easy to assemble, but I had to use a little WD-40 on the folding hinges. The enclosed manual had clear easy-to-follow instructions. The tubing and welding are noticeably stronger than on my old standard bend-over model.I've been using it with no problems. Many people have commented, many saying they didn't know such a thing existed! Reliable walking assistance until 6/29/25. I was at a car show and it began swaying uncontrollably. Then some bystanders pointed out that my right front wheel had fallen off! I can barely walk without it! These same bystanders then helped me by moving the remaining spring-ball part in the lower leg to the empty side, and reassemble the leg so I was good to go! Now for the good part! Elenker has superb customer service! I called them, and after determining my item was under warranty, I was given the email for their CA warehouse and asked to include a photo of the part. Easy enough. The great thing is I received the part on July 2nd! This is terrific service! Kudos to Elenker! BTW, if you're out of warranty, you can buy the needed parts from the same warehouse! I'm impressed by both their products and their customer support! Def 5 stars!
