Love them
Love these things. Easy to retrofit into my older 90s-era lights and LOVE the adjustable intensity. I leave them on the warmest option as I absolutely detest cold lighting anywhere, especially in homes. I did have to repaint around the recessed areas as the outside “trim” was slightly smaller in circumference than the existing lights (just something to be aware of).

Simple fix
I had standard fixed cans with floodlights that weren’t aligned to illuminate the table below. I popped the old fixture and replaced it with these in literally 3 minutes. The gambrel allows directional control. I like the option of adjusting the quality of light directly on the bulb. Combined with a wall dimmer, I now have full control. Looks sharp/flush with ceiling.

Very good retrofit gimbals
I ordered 4 of these to replace my incandescent gimbals. The swap was easy and these fit perfectly in the existing housing. They’re adjustable 2 ways so by rotating and tilting, I was able to customize the aim just where I want it.

Articulating retrofit style Sunco light
This is a good fit when you want to mix-and-match articulating and fixed Sunco retrofit style lights. The diameter of the lens, and the thickness of the rim match that of the non-articulating Sonco retrofit lights almost perfectly. Before these became available, I could only find articulating Sunco-s that were for meant "new install", not the best for existing cans. Those also have a larger diameter lens, and narrower rim, so the fixed and articulating lights looked a bit dissimilar. The color temperature is adjustable, and all Sunco lights will have the same color temp when the color setting matches. These are a bit pricey when you only buy one. It is cheaper to buy them in "multi-packs".I really like that these can be installed into existing cans, although they tend to fit not quite as flat against the ceiling as the non-articulating lights. I think this is because the spring design is a bit different, it is a bit worse on this particular design. If you have newer style cans with brackets, it is literally a 2 minute install. On older style cans you have to buy the brackets, drill out the cans, and install the brackets. This easily adds 15-30 minutes to the install time per can, and needs a close quarters, 90 degree drill.

Unique Gimbal
I have over 25 recessed cans and 20 year old construction had wide open gimbal lights. Massive dust/fiberglass deterioration problem. All gimbals had open gap. No gaskets. These are a closed gimbal and has gasket. My cans have open slots big dust entry. Since my cans were IC rated and these lights are IC rated Cooper said ok to seal. These are surprisingly well made. You have to do some minor assembly. Time will tell but if you want no gap these are the ticket. Only drawback gimbal positioning has some limitations. Hope this helps folks choking on attic dust like we were.

Great Light, but impossible to install
The light is very bright and looks great, but I found it impossible to get it "seated" in the existing 6" diameter housing. The spring wires keep sliding in the cylinder and the light falls out. Typical recessed lighting has four "friction points" holding the fixture in place, but this light has four spring wires that are not equally spaced, resulting in the wires tension forcing them to the "middle" and losing power to hold the fixture. I ended up cutting a 8x8" wooden block with a 5.5" hole in the center to cover the original hole and just put two trim screws thru the fixture's outer flange into that wooden block.
