Used these planks to grill a very high-end cut of Spencer beef, which yielded 12+ steaks. The steaks came out absolutely delicious, and using the Red Oak planks for grilling them was definitely the way to go!

most stores only have Cedar planks - Amazon of course has numerous types and at a much better price then most locations - when grilling various types of meats each wood adds different flavors so this is very useful to a serious griller

Works great. Reusable if you sand down the burn and soak it for awhile prior to using. Reusability depends on thickness of plank left and how long over coals.

They do exactly what they are supposed to. They stand up to the heat well, and will last 6-8 grillings if properly cared for.
