This was the one I kept
I ordered 3 different brands. This is the one I kept because the thickness of the center portion was the thickest. I never knew what the difference was until I seen the other 2 brands. I felt like I had to wear gloves or maybe even wrap a 1/8" rubber around to get a good grip. Although I didn't measure this brand is noticeably thicker to grip with a bare hand. Also this one's striations along the 2 outer ends where the plates are attached were smoother thus not scratching the inside hole of the plate. You may not be aware but the others were leaving little micro paint chips putting on/taking off the plates that I couldn't figure why I was sweeping everyday on a white tile floor. This one was smoother and didn't take nearly as much paint off. Keep both of these things in mind because you don't know it just by looking at pictures.

Good luck with the metal shavings
It is what it is, works, may be a little underweight. Came full of metal shavings that made it sound like a rain stick and one end was literally unscrewable. Took a few hours getting them all out.

Missing clip but great Customer service
My husband was really excited but.. realized he was missing a clip for the weights. Customer service helped us out. He's super happy with it

I had to return mine I bought the wrong size but I'm getting another one just like it a little bit longerSo the six foot one came today and I think it's really niceSo if you have any kind of rack and you're looking for a barbell do yourself a favor and measure it first save yourself the time

For the money it's alright
Knurling is my biggest problem. It'll rip the heck out of your hands with heavy weights. Bearing are loose and rattle around. Ends were the weight slide on is rough finished so its like your dragging the weight over a bunch of rough cuts from there lathe which they could of just use some better machining and or sandpaper to smooth it out. Something I might have to wear gloves with just so my hands don't get cut up.
