Left earbud stopped working after 3 months of light use.
I want to start out by saying that the sound quality on these earbuds is pretty good, especially for the low price. I was actually surprised to see how well they sounded. I would give this product 5 stars in terms of sound quality (if these costed more than 40 dollars, I'd have to give it 4 stars). However, what killed it for me was the poor build quality of the earbuds. They were very flimsy and at time to time they would fall apart. After 3 months, the left earbud completely stopped working (no sound). It was my mistake to not read some of the negative reviews. Here are some below (I've omitted some parts to show the common issue of build quality)"After less than 2 months of light use (stored in hard case when not being used) the left ear bud no longer works. The plastic casing has fallen apart, will not stay in one piece and there is no longer any sound." - Eric Baker "SciFiNerd""Right side volume dropped off suddenly after only 1 week." - Omega Direx"After just about a year, the left bud fell apart. I went to take it out of my ear and the speaker portion (the silver ring part) came apart from the housing." - Tyler E Leonard"However, I think that the quality of the shells were only average... Unfortunately, (for some reason) one of my ears started going out and I had to trash the unit." -Tombom "F#A#Infinity"So a common problem is that one of the earbuds stops working after around couple of months, more or less.If you are still convinced by the 5 star reviews and want to still buy it, I say go for it. You'd be taking a risk though, so don't be surprised if one of the earbuds stop working shortly after buying this.

Perfect earphones for everyone
----------------Background:----------------I bought these earphones as a gift for my girlfriend, who has never used anything besides her stock iPod earbuds for her music. I have a huge interest in 'in-ear monitors' (IEMs) for their portability, sound quality, and noise cancellation in general. A great reason to use any IEM is that you can get audiophile-quality sound while walking around, and not look like you're wearing a ridiculous contraption over your ears. This review is coming from someone who has owned multiple pairs of earphones which retail for over $400.I didn't thoroughly test these earphones before giving them as a gift, in fact I never listened to them until my girlfriend opened the package. I knew that testing them in advance wouldn't be necessary, as almost all reviews for this product are positive - from audiophiles and average listeners! I have tried other earbuds in the price range, and knew that if they were by one of the recognizable "name brands", they would almost always be good. Brainwavz is more of a new-comer, but they have a better reputation for quality products in this department than even the well-known brands (Sennheiser, Sony, Monster).----------------Value:----------------First of all, the deal on these was amazing. The price is affordable for anyone. I'm pretty sure the stock apple earbuds cost $30, and from experience those break within 6 months almost without fail. For an extra $10, you can save yourself possibly hundreds of dollars if you plan on using these for a couple years, and get much better earbuds. The package came with all that was needed, a carrying case, instructions, and a good assortment of ear tips. These swappable tips allow you to get the best seal for your particular ears, getting this seal is a necessary step to ensure you are getting the best sound (this makes a huge difference, to anyone). My partner and I only took a minute to find the best ear tips for each of us. I think the "Comply Foam" ones worked best. These are comfortable and high quality, but a pair of these typically only last me 3 months - they degrade after that. You can buy a 3-pair pack for $15 or so to last you a year. It's not necessary to replace the tips if you use the silicone ones - these you can simply clean periodically. As for how "good" these are for their price: I think they are as good as it gets in this price range. I've heard $100 earphones that sound worse. These probably sound 5-10x better than apple earbuds with a proper seal to me. So, I'd say from that standard they could be worth $300 in proportion to the apple competition, alas you realize the apple earbuds are a terrible deal... But in all fairness, these earbuds could retail for $80+ and still be a great buy.5/5----------------Sound:----------------This is the most important part to probably most people. I won't cover looks, as you can see how they look from the pictures. I personally find these to look a lot better than over-ear headphones in public, and whatever other earbuds are most popular (apple, beats, skullcandy).I wont go into depth in this, because I haven't listened to them very much - but I know good sound when I hear it. I'll stay in "laymans terms", audiophiles look elsewhere. The sound is just fantastic. I played a few songs just to test and it was very enjoyable. I knew certain details in my test songs (I played Pink Floyd, The Postal Service, and The Flaming Lips) that many sound systems fail or struggle to reproduce - these earbuds did not have any problems in that department. They are very detailed and you will DEFINITELY hear things you have never heard before in your music. This alone should make you never want to listen to apple earbuds again, they hide half the instruments from you! Then there's the bass response, which is vastly improved from apples 'open/vented' ear bud designs. These earphones can be described as neutral though. This means all frequencies (low aka bass, middle aka midrange, high aka treble) will be played at about the same volume. This is typically very desirable in headphones - because the people who recorded the songs you hear want it to sound a certain way. However, most sound systems will have emphasis on certain frequencies (lots of bass, cut out midrange, excessive treble). Exaggerated bass can fool listeners into thinking a sound system is very good due to how well it plays low frequencies, while excessive treble can make a listener believe speakers or headphones are very detailed. Neutral is probably the best for the average listener, although it wont have ridiculous booming bass sound or falsely perceived detail. The great thing is, there are two ways to get these sounds if you want them through neutral earphones: you can listen to music that is recorded with those qualities, or you can equalize (or EQ) your sound, through a setting on your music player to change the frequency levels. This feature is offered on iPods, iPhones, iTunes, as well as most audio players in general.5/5----------------Build:----------------The two earbuds as well as the cable are of very high quality. I love the braided cable design, as it feels very sturdy and is much less likely to tangle. The housings (the parts you put in your ear) feel very solid, you could definitely drop these multiple times and they would be fine. The weight is also perfect to each earbud.Unfortunately, a couple months after I got these earbuds for my significant other, a relatives dog ate through them, rendering them useless. It only took about 20 seconds of chewing by a tiny dog to do so. So, these are not dog-proof if you were wondering - but this is an unrealistic expectation of any earbud. I will be buying another pair of these very soon to replace them.4/5----------------Comfort/fit/isolation:----------------I found these very comfortable and fit very well with the included tips, as did my girlfriend. I especially like how these do not insert too far into the ear, as that can cause discomfort. These actually insert the perfect distance to me, because they are still capable of isolating noise very well. These will block out all normal volume external sound if you are playing music at a moderate level. You won't be able to hear people talking to you, and you won't hear the TV on. However, a lawnmower or plane engine may still be audible. To block louder noises out you'd want a higher sound level, but that's just not good for your ears. With no music playing, external noise is reduced in volume to a comfortable level.I'd like to add the Comply Foam tips offer great fit and isolation. Some perceive a slight reduction in sound quality from these (the foam material could absorb certain frequencies) however the better fit may often improve sound quality. Silicone tips are a great option too, just make sure to try out all of the tips to find what you like best.5/5----------------Overall:----------------I feel like I rambled too much. Let me know if you have any questions or comments on my review (this was my first). Overall, you really should never have to look far if you want to buy any earphone, earbud, IEM, whatever in the sub-$100 range. These are a solid choice and I don't think there's anyone who could hate these unless they got a defective pair or have some defect on their person. Whatever you do, don't get the apple earbuds. I have zero complaints about these earbuds, something I can't say for really any other product I own. If you're reading this and on the fence, just get them - it's $40 and a steal. They make an excellent gift too, especially if you want to begin converting someone from the world of bad audio to good audio! I would recommend these to anyone with ears! (or ear if one is missing, this would still be a nice option for those with a single ear and I do not wish to exclude them from the fun)5/5!!!

Day 1: Works good. Month 5: dead. Got a new one from CS - they died too, same problem.
Even though they're not burned in yet, they sound pretty good so far. The bass is pretty bassy, the highs aren't terribly pitchy or tinny. They do have that "not-burned-in" sound still though. Will update later after leaving them running for a few days.Came with a ton of different ear pieces, having large ears I chose the biggest ones and they fit great.Cord seems pretty sturdy, but I wouldn't say it's really any better than the normal cords I've had (Koss Patherfinder)The case is nice, solid, not really "compact", but it keeps everything safe.I like the shirt clip. It's one of those things I've ended up using a small battery alligator clip for. I live on a farm and do a lot of moving, getting off and on the tractor, and not having the cord flop around loose is great. It's really annoying getting buds pulled out of your ears.If you're feeling adventurous, I'd suggest trying a string that goes around the back of your neck about 3 inches down from the buds, that way if you need to take them out you don't have to swing them around or anything.Update:About 5 months. I used them about twice a week on average for probably 4 or 5 hours when I did use them, probably 90-100 hours total use. The right side stopped working and it seems to be where the Y is in the cord. I never got them caught up in anything, I always had the cord behind my back so it wouldn't catch on anything. But I suppose I couldn't really expect a newer company to hold up to an older name like Koss. Although the sound is definitely better, the make quality is not.Update:Month... 10(?) I believe. Got a new pair from the CS. Was pretty quick at it. They're still working decently so far, although I think I might still get a different brand next time I get some buds. However, these are still great buds for the price. They last long enough for something that cost about $40.Update again:It's Feb 23, 2016, and guess what, the same exact problem. Right side gave out. I'm done with these. ._.

Great pair of speakers, a steal under £30
Before researching in-ear monitors for my brother, I had no idea this brand even existed. According to the reviews the model sounded like a steal for around £25, so we went for it.I barely got to try them when he bought his pair, but he's been so satisfied over the couple months he's had them that I decided to buy myself a pair, too.£25 won't buy you a better pair. I've had Sennheisers before and I'm still an avid fan of AKG headphones, but these are in-ears are simply mind blowing. I personally listen to electronic genres, so I can't comment on Rock or pop. Psychill, Ambient, Prog-Psy, Dubstep, electro, hardstyle all sound terrific. I assume non-electronic heavy genres also sound terrific. Everything I tried so far does. They come in a neat little hard case with so many different types of buds (I counted 15 pairs) that I'm not even sure what half of them are for. Tried three different looking ones, picked the most comfortable and went with it.----Packaging - 5 -- Neatly packed, the little hard case is very handy, I don't like the plastic tray that holds everything inside the cardboard box but this isn't something Brainwavz do and others don't. Easy to open.Sound - 5 -- If you can pinpoint what's wrong with these speakers, you aren't spending £25 on a pair, you're spending an order of magnitude more.Value - 5 -- Cheaper than a lunch for one at Jamie's (yes, that one). Can't go wrong.Shipping - 5 -- Ordered Thursday morning, got them 11am the next morning.Would recommend to my Mom or buy again.

Excellent sound for the money
I bought these to replace some other earphones which packed up after a few months. The sound quality is excellent for the money - I'm hearing stuff I was missing with my phone-supplied cables and the RHAs I previously had. The cable seems strong and has a right angle entry which I prefer. Handy box too. The phones are marked for left and right and come with a mind-boggling array of tips - quite the most I've ever had with a set. There is a little interference from the cable i.e. if you wiggle the cables you get some transmitted sound so I would not recommend for active use. The style of most of the tips is such that you don't get much wax trapping which has been a problem for me with some other kinds - and they are easy to clean. They are warranted by the manufacturer for a year.

Fun set that you need to let grow on you... so don't give up straight out of the box!
One thing you need to know, these are hard to drive in relation to IEMs. They are 32Ω. They will need a decent new phone or a Digital Audio Player. Perhaps even a headphone amp. Without it, they will need extra volume. On my honor 10 80-90%. But if you have got a powerful source you will be rewarded with a lovely, big sound, great bass depth and definition, good detail. Vocals are slightly recessed but accurate. I can guarantee you a lot of neutral or bad reviews haven't driven these properly and found out what they are capable off.

Very good. especially for the money
They sound good, they last and they er not expensive. Far less expensive than I would expect from something doing it's job as well as these. No bloated bass is my main positive. Everything , whilst it does not sound all too 'polished, sits in it's rightful place.

Don't buy from Brainwavz
I bought second pair and i has broke the same as previous one, just after 1-2 weeks of usage one speaker part has disattached from one of the headphones because of build which is designed to destroy fast so you would buy new ones.
