Very sturdy and well made.

The system is simple and well made. The weather resistance is a compliment for salt air conditions and high winds. Easy mounting and stability for a 5 foot flag.

I'm happy with this flagpole and actually ordered a second one a year after the first. The pole is strong and tough and the rotating bushings have still held up well after a year. I would give it a 5 star rating if not for the cheap screws and carabiner clips. The Phillips head screw heads strip out easily and once your screwdriver slips, there's no going forward of backward. For just a little more, they could have included quality screws whose heads won't strip and black screws to match the black holder or stainless would have been nice. So be sure to put a LOT of force on your driver when installing these screws or you will be trying to get them out with vice grips and going off to buy something better. The carabiner clips are really cheap and flimsy, but I haven't had one break yet.

Beautiful flag and well made flag pole. I have had them up and the flag, bracket and pole seem to be holding up well in the weather. I had a cheaper flag before and the flag kept wrapping itself around the pole when it was windy. Not an issue for this flag and pole.

We've gone through many different porch-style flag poles over the past 50 years, and most of them had design deficiencies which resulted (after a period of extended use) in the flags disengaging from the attachment points on those poles. Many of these flag poles, albeit superbly constructed, had design deficiencies with the hooks (or whatever they're called) that attach to the grommets on the flags. As a result, they would eventually come loose or break off. Secondly, all of these flag poles came in only one length - one long, solid piece (not that this is a problem in itself). Now enter this Barcetine American Flag pole. When it arrived, we were surprised to see that the pole portion comes in parts, allowing the user to screw in the lengths needed for their particular set-up. The longest setting was a good 1-2' longer than the typical "one size" flagpoles that you normally find in stores, so this was a welcomed addition. The flag pole pieces attach firmly and screw together. The brackets and clips are very nicely made and are highly functional, and it is apparent that once the flag is attached, it's not going anywhere - it's that well made. Finally, rather than your standard silver, wood toned, or gray color - this flagpole is a nice black design (which is different). All in all, we've found this unit to be one of the nicest porch style flag-pole designs that we've seen and we're glad we found it on Amazon. Thus we're giving it 5 stars!

Great quality

I was disappointed when it first arrived because it comes in pieces, and the last pole I owned was in pieces and came apart in the high wind. But these pieces are different. They screw together soundly. I've had it up now for months and it has endured very high winds with no problem. It does have a bit of the wrap-around problem that the previous pole had (it's mounted at about a 45º above horizontal), but not nearly as much. And flag weights solve that easily.

Some of the hardware is very cheaply made and there is no customer service to Canada

The flag has wrapped around the pole by the wind which it’s said that it won’t do.. Disappointed!!
