NC-559-V2-TF no-clean tacky flux for hand-soldering Tin/Lead (ROL0) - 10g syringe kit

My experience: I'm new to properly soldering (using flux). I've been poorly soldering for 20 years so this is my first soldering flux. Thanks to Youtube, I now know what its purpose is. Review: FYI, I've almost used up the whole tube. I guess it does say in the title "Tacky", I must have missed that when I ordered it because boy is it tacky. It works great as a flux but it is very cloudy and when it cools it is a pain to get off. It gets thick and sticky and even isopropyl alcohol has a hard time getting it off. It comes off easy when it's warm though. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. But I will get something clearer and less tacky in the future.

Works fine for flux. Sometimes can take time for my crappy soldering iron to melt lead-free solder from around 10 seconds to 2. However, just like with any flux, you should still clean it off even if it says no-clean.

It smells sour when hot. Needle is too large, causing too much waste. Plunger does not stay in, keeps falling out and is very loose. Cleans allot easier then Chinese version of this in a large 100g green plastic jar but Chinese flux does not smell like this one does. Sure it smells too and starts to smoke at lower temps and does not clean as well, but the cost is 10 times less and its as effective for most applications other then reballing chips If by "no clean" they mean it does not need to be cleaned or leaves no residue after cleaned with alcohol then its false. There is plenty of residue after cleaning it with alcohol. The only way to remove residue is to put in an alcohol bath or use FLUX OFF spray which cost nearly 20 dollars for 5oz spray can. My interpretation of "no clean" was "it evaporates" even if it did leave residue.

Tube of flux I got was authentic. Logo glows under blacklight. This stuff wets terrific and produces nice, clean, shiny joints. However, you should just order it directly from AMTECH's website. Their prices are great, especially if you order multiple tubes. Recommended!

I'm not sure how to tell if it's genuine since I've never used AMTECH, but I purchased this as I needed good flux for the fine soldering needed for a new 3ds xl capture card install. This stuff worked great at getting the very small solder joints to flow just right without bridging. Made my life easier with the hardest solder job I've done yet.

Easy to use and lets you put just the right amount of Flux right were you want it, Hope this helps!
