Messy Mutts Microfiber Drying Mat & Towel with Hand Pockets

This is a review of the Messy Mutts Chanille microfiber drying mat. I was provided a free sample for evaluation.My dog is a 52 pound Standard Poodle. As a drying towel, this is a bit too large and unwieldy, at least for the size of my dog, If your dog were very large this might be better as a towel. But if you do use it as a towel, is has "pockets" on the back that you can slide your hands into. It's convenient.I use this mainly as a drying mat. It absorbs a lot of water and is large enough for my dog to easily stand on after we take her out of the washing tub. This allows her to drip water all over the mat, which it absorbs, without her also getting water all over the floor.The only issue we've had is that it pulled from the bottom of the mat and unraveled about a 2 foot piece of the chanille. I snipped the segment off at each end and hope that it won't run any more.We machine wash and drip dry this mat. You can also tumble dry on low.Our dog also likes to use this mat as a general laying down on mat.

This review is for the Medium mat. I find the medium mat a better choice for using as a towel. The large is just too big to use comfortably on my dog (52 pound Standard Poodle.) The medium size is more appropriate for use as a towel. This also makes a great mat for the dog to stand on right after we pull her out of the washing tub. Now instead of dripping all over the floor, she drips onto this mat and it absorbs it all.It's easy to wash in the washing machine and then we usually drip dry it but you could also put it in the dryer to tumble dry it on low.This is a bit on the pricey side but it is functional and it also makes a nice cushy mat for your dog to lay down on, or as a seat cover in your car. It has a nice non-slip bottom too.
