The Complete Omaha Volume 2 (Omaha the Cat Dancer) Paperback – January 1, 2006

The wonderful "tail" (pun intended) that began in Omaha The Cat Dancer Vol.1 continues with the same crisp writing and wonderful artwork in this second volume. Many people might be turned away by the combination of "furry characters" and sex, but they are missing out on a truly well-conceived drama.This series is a real treat.

Volume two the “most controversial series in comics”. Included in this book are issues 2 through 5, an introduction from the main writer who passed away in 2005, and a parody of the Twinkies ads that used to run in comics back in the 1970s and early 80s- only those who remember them would see the humor in it, otherwise it’s just bizarre.As Kate Worley takes over most of the writing duties the Omaha world begins to take shape. One-dimensional characters begin to be fleshed out and a racy storyline unfolds. The sex scenes, while still at least one per issue, take a back seat to the drama. Unlike previous issues, and similar types of books, the characters are not just about sex- it is simply one normal aspect of their everyday lives.

Not my favorite book in the series, but a necessary staple. The logic between the characters is almost bizarre at some points and the story is clearly sacrificed to make more room for erotica.

Classic!

An ongoing series that has a following. I now have all eight (8) volumes which completes the collection. I've enjoyed the new content that was added to the stories.
