I really love this item. It fits my decor very well. I do wish it was a bit bigger, but I knew what size it was when I purchased it. I love the robins egg blue color, as you can see in the photo I have several things this color. It comes well put together, nothing is loose or anything like that. I am using it strictly for decor so I can’t speak about the functionality or how accurate it keeps time. I think it’s worth the money just for how it looks.

This hourglass is an accurate 6-minute timer. It's perfect to use between eyedrops that require at least 5 minutes between drops and it's decorative.

Accurate time keeping and classic look. Purchased this because I specifically needed a 6 minute timer for a board game.

The quality is surprisingly nice. The glass is nicely formed. No defects. The stand is beautiful. My biggest complaint is that the color looks nothing like the stock image. I ordered black. This is what I received. I would say they sent the wrong item, but it's but y'all either. It's distressed. A metallic looking stressed hour glass. Maybe I can paint it. Anyways. It's nice and keeps time. Don't expect black cast iron. Not even close. Update: I am surprised with consistency in time measurement. Not accuracy. This hourglass is not accurate. However I'm VERY impressed with how consistent the time measurement is. I have a few hourglasses. Oddly enough, the time measurement of an hourglass can different based on which direction the sand flows. Some hourglasses the sand can even get stuck. You can visually determine how reliable an hourglass will be by closely inspecting the center of the glass. On a cheaper hourglass you'll see ununiform glass. I can say I'm very impressed with how well formed the glass is on this hour glass. On close inspection, that center joint is near perfect and uniform. As a result, the time measurement is VERY repeatable. On my particular hourglass, the exact time is about 6:25 seconds. That's pretty inaccurate, but after 6 flips, each measurement has been EXACTLY 6:25 seconds. Sadly, this is a tad long for brewing tea, but because it's so precise, I can compensate. Although I'm not happy with the unfinished appearance of the hourglass, I am extremely happy with the quality and function of the hourglass. It's not only attractive (ie: the casting), but crazy nice quality on the glass. As a final word, the stand is NOT made out of IRON! We can blame Amazon for consistently mislabeling and false advertising there. The metal is some alloy. Probably a zinc alloy mix. A magnet will stick to a ferrous metal like iron. The metal has no magnetic quality what so ever. I really want to subtract another star from my rating because of the false advertising, but the glass bulb inside almost makes up for the misleading description. The cast is nice and detailed, but not heavy like you'd expect from a cast iron product. The weight primarily being the glass. Overall, still and okay product. Compared to similar hourglasses, I've found this one far more useful for time measurement.
