The FreshVac pumps requires an AC adapter or 6 AA batteries, and of course it didn't come with the AC adapter, which costs about double the price on their website without shipping, so this was great and cheaper alternative. I made sure that the output on the pump (9V - 2.0A) matched the AC adapter and so far I have had zero problems. Use at your own risk though as Ninja says "Other after-market adapters are not compatible with the FreshVac™ pump".

This worked as good as the $35 unit. The cable is a little on the short side, that’s my only complaint.
