works pretty good when removing germs but cannot remove the stench from dirty water but I don't find it that bothersome.pack lasts a while. considering the price it is worth the purchase.Please whatever you do, do not directly drink the water after disinfection, always boil and drain with a strainer before drinking. but please always try to consult with a medical professional before considering taking any steps
