Pass Pass Pulse Candy Pyramid Pack, Kachcha Aam, 520 Gram

My husband read about these in the NYTimes. So, I found them here and ordered them for him. They were interesting a fun.

The product arrived on time and is just as expected. If you are wanting a sweet mango candy, this is not for you. The flavor starts out as a tart green mango and when you reach the soft middle, it is filled with kala namak or black salt which is distinctly sulfuric and an acquired taste for people not from the indian subcontinent. However if you want to be reminded of childhoods spent taking raw mangoes from the tree and enjoying the sun warmed fruit dipped into the salt, then you will love these candies.

Seriously What? This is suppose to taste like Fresh Mango with tangy mango center.....not even close. Here are the flavor stages imo: Stage One: It might be mango..hmm is that menthol...something is not quite right Stage Two: gag..i taste eggs...maybe watermelon rind Stage Three: the brown powder...a cascade of salty salty something or other Stage Four: spit out... Stage Five: PSA to warn everyone

I like the flavor and tanginess soo much.

The candy box was open when received. Although the box was tightly wrapped in packaging materials. I am returning/ discarding since this a consumable food which could have been tampered.

Tastes great.

False advertisement. Pack had less than half the candies.
