Portable Induction Cooktop 1800W with Power, Temperature and Timer Setting - (Only Compatible with Magnetic Cookware) - Electric cooktop with single induction burner

I contacted customer service to get more information before I tried out the cook top (I am a chicken). They sent me 2 videos, you can look them up on you tube, go to Google, type in Rick Mammanas reviewing and cooking with 2 induxpert induction cook tops, the other one is Binging with Babish, he's using the cooktop in all his videos Google Binging with Babish Eggs Woodhouse, After watching the videos I used the cooktop and realized you don't need any more information than what is supplied in the box, its totally intuitive. The watts settings correspond to using an electric stove where you turn the burner higher or lower (up and down arrows on cook top), the temperature settings correspond to using an electric skillet (or fryer) where you set an exact temperature and it is regulated by the appliance. This cook top changes temperature very fast, more like a gas burner than an electric one (of course, it isn't electric, its induction). Customer service was really great, got right back to me within hours of my email, I was really impressed. I was worried about the fan because I dislike fan noises but you don't even notice this one. Another thing to mention is the cook top shuts off without a pan but you can lift up the pan for a minute before it will shut off. This is just the greatest way to cook, so glad I made the purchase.

Works great for general cooking. Heats fast and has a great design. For home brewers looking to go electric, this unit is not powerful enough to boil or keep a rolling boil of 5+ gallons of water. I doubt any 1800 watt unit is. It might work for smaller batches or to maintain mash temps with BIAB if your kettle is induction ready. Incredible customer service. Hoping they produce a more powerful unit for home brewers.

Just wanted to share this is a wonderful cooktop. As with any tool that's well designed it's a joy to use... Every day. I've cooked Western and Eastern style meals and this cooktop keeps amazing my how fast it cooks. It has easy to understand controls in a sleek easy to clean design that compliments kitchen decor. I happen to prepare many stir fry and appreciate the default temperature setting. The power cord is robust and not cheep and flimsy. Also, I like the fact that this cooktop cooks my food without making my kitchen a sweat box. I am able to use both this and microwave without tripping breakers... That hasn't always been the case. If you have been searching for an induction cooktop or just a cooktop... Look no further... Oh, I haven't met a friendlier customer rep except for Amazon's of course!

As in some other reviews, this burner worked one time for me. It's been stored since that first time I used it. Nothing happened to it, but recently, I took it out to use it and when I plug it in, it makes a sound, then goes dead. My husband (who is an electrical engineer and can fix almost anything) opened it up to see if he could fix it and he said there's nothing obviously wrong with it. No loose connections, nothing out of place. He believes one of the mechanical parts failed. DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!!!!!

Just tried it out today on particularly thick pork steaks. I'm still trying to get the hang of choosing settings for temperature and time. I have to consult some really good recipes that give precise temperatures and timing. But I'm happy with it so far. It turns out most of my cookware can be used on this appliance since they are stainless steel and a few cast iron. So two woks are compatible, four pots, several saucepans and frying pans. Unfortunately, my stove top coffee percolator apparently is mostly aluminum. I looked online for all stainless steel stove top coffee pots but prices are a bit steep.

Really well built and attractive. I use it for almost everything I would normally use my range burners for. Boils 4 qts of water in 3 minutes in a steel pot. Good range of temperature setting and wattage control, although I found the temperature setting to off by ~ 15 degrees when tested with an infrared temperature meter. Cleans easily with mild dish soap and water and a sponge, but DO NOT immerse it in liquid. Only clean the outside surfaces and use nothing that is abrasive (scrubbing sponges or scrubbing pads) or the finish will be damaged.. You must use steel vessels because it uses magnetic induction. Aluminum and glass will not work. It has a cool down fan, which stays on after you shut it off, which is a little noisy but not irritating and cools off rapidly (about a minute). Shipped fast and was packed very well by Amazon in a padded box.

PREVIOUSLY RATED 1 STAR AS IT "STOPPED WORKING" AFTER A COUPLE OF MONTHS, but recently went back and read the instructions carefully . . . which clearly state it will neither turn on nor operate without the proper magnetic cookware in place on top BEFORE you try to turn it on . . .I (like others whose reviews I read) plugged it in, saw the display "flash" then nothing . . . thinking it was dead . . . but I just went back, placed a proper pot on it, then pressed and HELD my finger for a few seconds and the power came on, fan started up, and pot started heating . . . so going back to 3 stars for the moment to make sure it was simply "pilot error" before reassessing the situation . . .

I have been using this product for about a week or so, and therefore I cannot say that it is a definitive review--I will update in ten months or so. But during this time I have used the product extensively and intensively, and have found it to be nothing short of spectacular. It is lightweight, heats fast, is very easy to use, and it is remarkably responsive. Cleaning is a breeze, footprint is very light, and it is fully portable. Considering the price and the guarantee, this unit is worth every penny and then some. UPDATE February 24 2019: After continuous use, the unit performs as well as it did the very first day.
