Approaches to Art Therapy 3rd Edition

Arrived in new condition. Much cheaper than campus book store

This is one of the best texts books a teacher has had me read I love the chapters are each written by different people

A good book to have as a tool for art therapists! It was a resource that I returned too over and over in my studies of art therapy.

Rubin comprises a comprehensive resource encompassing the breadth of the art therapy field. Mostly theory-based, with little clinical vignettes; however, this text provides a good overview for future investigation in the topics discussed in the book.

This is not a well designed textbook. Though there is a lot of good information in this text, it is not reader friendly. The way the content is divided up (chapters, headings, subheadings) is hard to follow. There are not bold terms or features that other textbooks have that could be useful for studying or easily navigating during class. Honestly, I dread reading this text for my art therapy class because nothing about the book helps me retain the information and by the time I'm done the chapter, I can't remember a thing because all I felt I read was one giant paragraph and a million stories.

this book uses case examples with the r-word more than ten times. They made this book in 2016 with literally 50 years of cases to be able to refer to, and they chose very offensive ones. I think they can and should do better
