Strong, Reliable Telescopic Magnet
I have no complaints about this telescopic magnet — it works exactly as expected. I bought it mainly to pick up BBs and various nails or screws, and it does the job well. The magnet is strong enough to grab small metal pieces quickly, making cleanup and retrieval much easier. It’s simple, effective, and a handy tool to keep around.TL;DR: Strong, reliable magnet that makes picking up BBs and screws quick and easy.

Worked the 1st time I used it.
I bought this magnet for only one screw I dropped on my yard. I knew that one screw would eventually work its way into my brand new zero turn lawnmower. I searched, hunched o over for about 8hours total in a week. I ordered it and the first time I used it, I found that screw. I couldn’t believe it. Now, this magnet has a large magnet surface. Its telescopic shaft extends so I don’t have to hunch over. It’s so easy, twist to lock and unlock. Very good quality. If it saves me the time and expense to remove my tire and go get it repaired or replaced, it payed for itself already.

Works ok
Not great but does work picking things up on flat floors like concrete. Works OK in gravel and dirt parking areas.

Hands down best feature releases the metal simply not trying to pull metal off a magnet Love it
I read all the reviews because I've seen multiple items that pick up metal like the ones that roll or whatever and I have to agree that this is an amazing product because of the fact that it has a release pull on the handle so that you're not sitting there at the end manually pulling off nails and screws and other things from a strong magnetI highly recommend it I also found it interesting that a lot of the reviews had to do with people cleaning up their yard after a roofing company was there I think that roofing companies need to be made to buy one of these objects and clean up people's damn yards because of roof is expensive and nobody needs holes no tires or stepping on nails it's amazing how many people have the same problem and it was all due to roofers anyway off topic there just thought it was interesting this is a good product It was easy to use it worked well and I can't express how happy I am about the future where it releases the objects from the magnet without me having to do it manually so I love it

Easy clean-up of nails and other metal bits after remodeling.
Just finished remodeling and re-roofing my little home. Noticed when sitting on the front porch there were lots of nails laying around in the grass and mulch. Since I have both dogs and cats, I was concerned one of them would jump off the porch and get, well, nailed. I also saw nails on the driveway and didn't want a slow puncture there either. I purchased this magnet and sent my dogwalker out to just do a pass around the house. He brought back such a huge collection of nails in the first 3 feet around the house that I had him widen the perimeter. He came back with another chunk of nails the 2nd pass! It was easy, even fun to get all the nails. He's very tall and the 40" arm worked fine. Well worth it for cleaning up the construction zone and making sure no people or pets get jabbed with a rusty (or even a non-rusty nail)! The photo is one pass of the yard, note some are 3 to 4-inch nails! They are in the bottom of a 24 can cat food box for perspective.

Much Weaker Than Advertised
I got this to pickup screws from the yard, and for that it works fine. However, to say this thing has a 50lb capacity is insane, it can’t pickup 20lbs let alone 50. It is a surprisingly weak magnet considering its size. However, for little items like finding screws and staples in your yard it will work.

Small head means more work in larger areas, but this gets where larger units can't go.
I bought this after we had the roof replaced on our house, and boy am so glad I did.Even though the roofing crew were pretty diligent and got most of the nails, I was able to collect a small pile of additional ones they missed with their larger magnet on wheels. This got all the ones that ended up under a bush or in some crevice or corner that the bigger magnet missed. When your house is re-roofed the nails go everywhere, it is just part of the process, unfortunately. If you have kids or pets, or even just a car, don't just assume the roofers got them all, spend the small amount of money it takes to get this thing and the boring hour or two it takes to sweep around the perimeter of your house carefully. Stepping on a nail or letting it puncture a tire is no fun.So if you are a homeowner, this is the one you buy, because it goes everywhere, meaning you only need one tool to do the entire job. And once you are finished with it, it stores away easily and won't take up much room in your garage or shop. The head is small, meaning it will take you a while if you want to sweep a large area with it. The magnet seems strong enough to pull even nails that I couldn't see out of wood chips, so it is strong enough to do the job.If I had to sweep a large area regularly, I would still buy this, but also invest in one of the bigger sweepers, as it does take a very long time to carefully cover a large area with the small head of this tool. But for occasional/homeowner use or use in a smaller space, this is fine.
