Allegro Tea, Organic Decaf Green Tea Bags, 20 ct

I was never a big fan of the taste of green tea, but this one had a pleasant, smooth taste. It reminded me of an earl grey. It wasn't earthy and leafy. A lot of green teas I've tried are weak, so I would just waste it by not using it, but this one is one I'll be glad to drink because it is robust. I like that it is decaf, so I can use it in the afternoon and not be awake at night, and the water processing was important to me. I would definitely buy it again.

I’ve come to love this brand after purchasing their peppermint tea. This one, just like the other one, is organic and another important thing for me is that it is decaffeinated using the water process as opposed to chemicals. Not many people know the difference but I’ve done some research on that and it does matter to me. For what it is it’s very reasonably priced and the flavor is very good

Updated Review: I really hadn’t touched this tea in a while because I wasn’t a fan of it. Cut to about two months later and I’m battling sinuses issues, nasal drip, and an irritated throat. I pulled this tea out and added some lemon and mango flavored ginger candies to help the flavor. It helped my soothe my throat and I’m down to my last few teabags. There’s nothing like a good hot tea when you’re sick. Another little trick I discovered thanks to a summer drink trend in China was steeping the tea in Sprite. It definitely helped me get that citrus taste I was looking for in the first place.**Original**I love green tea but had to cut back on caffeine recently for health reasons. This tea kept popping up so I finally gave it a try. It’s a very smooth, light green tea flavor. However, the lemon flavor is dull to me. I was expecting a brighter lemon note like mentioned in the description. Even other reviewers said similar things, but the lemon taste is very muted in my opinion. I’d prefer a stronger citrus flavor so I probably won’t order this again.

I'm glad I found this organic green tea. I found it a little over a year ago and don't want any other brand. It has a strong green tea taste, is decaffeinated and has a great price. If you are looking for a quality green tea, I recommend this one.

Nice, smooth tea. Relaxing

I love tea and coffee but cant drink caffeine after mid-day or it keeps me awake. Have tried numerous decaf teas and found them to be tasteless. I already drink Allegro green tea and after reading good reviews decided to buy. I am so glad I did. The tea has a nice bold flavor and the closest to regular black tea I have ever drank. I will be a repeat customer.

I really wanted to love this decaffeinated black tea that is one of the few I could find that is decaffeinated by the CO2 method and not the chemical method. However, it had a little more taste than the other CO2 decaffeinated black teas I've tried. You can decaffeinate your tea by steeping it for a minute and pouring off the first steep and then using that bag. So that's what I'm back to if I drink black tea. This steeping and pouring off method retains much more taste, however, I think it can be variable as to how much caffeine you're actually reducing... If I've had trouble sleeping, I won't use the steep and pour off method after about 3 pm.
