These Gaiam mats are fantastic.. I've bought 8 or 10 of them over the years.. Been doing Yoga 20 plus years and have had/used a bunch of different mats.. durable, not slippy, not too squishy.. and at a great price.. I see no reason to spend more

I’ve used Gaiam yoga mats for years and have always loved them. They’re comfortable, durable, and the designs are always beautiful. I’ve purchased several in the past and just recently needed a new one, so I didn’t hesitate to go with Gaiam again. This time, the mat arrived with a strong chemical smell—something I hadn’t experienced with previous Gaiam mats. It was noticeable enough that I didn’t want to use it right away. However, I left it outside for a full day to air out, and that completely resolved the issue. Now it’s odor-free and perfect for daily use. Once aired out: * It’s non-slip, even during barefoot yoga sessions. * It offers just the right amount of cushion—not too thick, not too thin. * It stays in place on hardwood floors and doesn’t curl up at the edges. * It’s also lightweight and easy to roll up, which makes it super convenient to take to class or move from room to room. The only reason for the 4 stars is the unexpected smell out of the package, but since it aired out easily and everything else about the mat is great, I’ll still continue buying from Gaiam. It’s my go-to brand for yoga mats for a reason.

I love everything about this mat from the price, to the grip, to the design and color! It is the perfect length and width for my yoga or Pilates and while it's thin, it has great grip on hardwood or carpet! My only complaint is that it definitely smelled weird when I first unrolled it, like a strong rubber smell. It's lightweight and rolls back up great!

When it arrived (via Prime chariot), I unrolled it expecting at least a slight whiff of chemical doom—but nope! No weird smell. None. It was like opening a fresh new start. The 4mm thickness gives it just the right amount of cushion for my knees and wrists without feeling like I’m bouncing on memory foam. Plus, it lays flat immediately after unrolling—no dramatic corners trying to curl up and sabotage my poses. And when I’m done? It rolls up easily like a good little mat and goes right into the corner until our next stretching saga. Bonus points: it’s PVC-free and free of nasty chemicals, which makes me feel even better about doing breathwork on it and not, you know, breathing in toxic fumes while trying to relax. So if you’re looking for a mat that’s cute, comfy, affordable, and not secretly trying to gas you—this one’s a winner. I take this mat with me on trips to keep my routine consistent. Its ease of transport, grip/support, and quality make me question how I got this mat for the price I paid. I am hoping it lasts me a long time because it is great quality and a nice pattern/color :)

Really strong smell right out of packaging. Let it air out. Very thin, but pretty design and works well.

I absolutely love this yoga mat.it is so beautiful&stylish!! It's soft and sticky(in a good way) when I use it my yoga class.the down side was a little rubber smell in the first few day so you have to use it more often then!delivery was quick in a good condition,over all 10/10 well done!! Also recommend to anyone.Will buy again when this one finish,thanks
