Q: Is the bottom firm/solid or just fabric? My cat doesn't like soft 'hamock' like places for walking on.

Its just fabric with a removable fleece pad. The fabric is pretty taught but there is some give to it.

Q: Our cat is biting through the fabric around the entrance holes. Any suggestions to stop this?

Might be teething or have tooth pain. Mine never bite on it. Check with your vet. If the teeth are ok perhaps rub on a flavor they don’t like to deter them from biting. Good luck.

Q: I just received mine and when my cat steps and moves around the penthouse, it creaks a lot. Is this common? He's only 9 lbs.

Try readjusting the suction cups. It doesn't squeak when its on just right. My boy is about 15 lbs and I haven't had any issues. But I notice that if I put it on crooked or anything, it'll creak.

Q: are the suction cups hard to remove when you need to take this down?

Nope. Not at all. Be sure though when taking them down or putting them up that the surface window is clean as is the back of the suction cup. I use alcohol on a paper towel and it works great.
