42536 Rear Windshield Wiper Arm Compatible with Select Ford / Mercury Models

I called Dorman and this is genuine Dorman brand. Fit perfectly on my 2003 Escape. The spring is strong, holding the wiper tightly to the window glass.

I had an issue with my first shipment (not the product), where I never received it. I spoke with the customer service, and they were very understanding and offered to send out a replacement free of charge. I really appreciated this, as it was something that they probably didn't have to do. Overall, this has been a great product. For a couple years my rear wiper wouldn't wipe more than about a 3" swath. I changed the blade a few times, and finally decided to try the arm instead. It worked like a charm, and for a reasonable price.

Went on easily and fits well. I read in another review that the replacement arm was better than what came standard on the vehicle and I agree 100%. The streaky partial cleaning I got with the stock arm (even with a new blade) became a 'clean sweep' after I installed this part.

I used this arm, along with another universal length ANCO wiper arm, to make the perfect custom length wiper arm for my 2020 Polaris Ranger XP1000 with factory lock & ride glass windshield, 2001-2007 Ford Escape wiper motor and a 18” wiper blade. About $150 invested instead of paying $590 for the Polaris model. I even found the correct off/on/momentary on switch so the wiper remains on while squirting the wiper fluid.

Not even 12" long. Supposed to be a lot longer!

Works like factory, but I had to bend the end of the piece that locks it onto the motor because it prevented the wiper from touching the glass. Quick bend with the pliers and it works perfectly.

I purchased this because the rear window blade hardly touched the window. It was hard to take off the old one, but easy to put on the new one. It works great, water is wiped off like it should be.
