Sonic Alert SB1000SS Sonic Boom Alarm Clock

Q: Did anyone receive the "ss12vw super shaker bed vibrating unit" as advertised? i got ripped off.

The whole thing is a rip-off the alarm doesn't work and that's what main reason I bought it for

Q: when the alarm goes on, can the clock just turn the light on, but not flash ?

No. The light works if you plug the lamp into your alarm clock, but it is only a flash setting. The idea is that the lamp flashes in time with the bed shaker's pulsations. You can choose to turn the lamp on whenever you want (like as a reading lamp) by clicking the large yellow button. The light will not just turn on and stay on though, if the lamp is being utilized as part of the alarm clock cycle.As the other commenter mentioned, you do go through more bulbs when you use the light flashing feature but it is totally worth it. I would recommend plugging a lamp you don't care about into the alarm clock if you are worried about the constant on/off/on/off wear and tear that the alarm may have on the lamp itself.

Q: How do shut off audible alarm and leave the shaker on?

There is a choice to use either alarm or the shaker. I prefer using the shaker only because the alarm is pretty loud and I live in an apartment.

Q: Would the receiver still vibrate even if outlet is turned off or alarm is off??

If the alarm is turned off, You essentially have a clock. Until you turn on the alarm, with a lamp plugged into the unit, you will get a blinking lamp, vibration steady or pulsing, and an alarm..this thing will wake you up. For the hearing impaired..
