Rescue Essentials - 3M Tegaderm Transparent Film Dressing - 4" x 4 3/4" - 10 Count (Pack of 1), White, Green

I have been buying this brand patch for over 5 years and I can tell you that you will Never find an adhesive like Rescue Essentials Tegaderm Patches.I use this adhesive to cover my prescription pain patch. It’s important to know that this film does not have the bandage patch in the middle, that’s why I chose them to begin with years ago. When placing it over a medicated patch, you don’t want to add any heat. So a plain film is needed and necessary for me to keep the patch on for a couple of days as prescribed. It doesn’t move-even when wet!No other brand works like this one. This is by far the best product of its kind and my only choice now. It’s well worth the money if you need it.One thing is important to remember. If you want something to stick this incredibly well. It is also going to take some effort to take it off. And for sensitive skin like mine, there will be red marks around it when you remove it. Sometimes my skin burns a little as well, a few hours after I first put it on. And again when I take it off and for a little after. It is necessary for that to happen in my opinion because otherwise it wouldn’t stick. Of all I’ve tried this is simply the best!*A little advise if your skin does get irritated when you first put on. You can spray the skin where you would apply the patch with some antihistamines spray. You then need to wipe it off a little and let it dry before putting the tegaderm on. (I’ve been doing this for years & it was recommended to me)***Also, use a little lotion or petroleum to rub on the corner of the tegaderm patch when removing! Do not just yank it off, just gently rub a corner with lotion and do it slowly. This will make removal pain free and lessen the red mark when take off. The redness will go away in an hour or so**I hope that helps someone so they don’t have to learn it first hand as I have. Any irritation this product may cause is not enough to keep me from buying it and I have very sensitive skin! The Best hands down! And only here on Amazon will you find this low price!

A nurse recommended using these to cover a weekly medical transdermal patch that was always starting to peel at day 4 or 5 and risked becoming unusable before the next patch change. This works great. It is a super thin, super strong layer that covers the entire patch. Because it is so thin you don't even feel it when it's on. Even though the medical patch is water proof I believe getting wet was causing some of the problems. So putting this clear patch over top of it keeps it dry and also none of the edges can get pulled up by rubbing on my clothes.

Definitely a nice product. Like many other reviewers, I use them to cover time-release patches made for 7 day wear. The adhesive on the patches tend to wear off before the week is over, or the patch "bunches" up on your skin and moves around from showering or sweating, making them very ineffective. The patches have to stay flat on your skin at all times to properly work 24 hours a day. The Tegaderm helps keep my patches flat on my skin without bunching up, and/or keeps them from falling off. They also don't irritate my sensitive skin or make it itchy, and they help keep the adhesive on the patches from irritating my skin so much by keeping them from coming up in the middle and moving around. I also tried a "store" brand copy of the Tegaderm patches to try saving some money and I have to say the Tegaderm brand was definitely the better product. The "fake" brand rendered my "savings" useless.I have seen many comments saying the Tegaderm is waterproof, but I have to disagree. You can't really have something truly waterproof but "breathable" to let moisture out at the same time. What the Tegaderm does though is stays in place and stuck to your skin, even through showering. My patches still get wet through the Tegaderm, but since it allows moisture out, the patch and the Tegaderm both dry out naturally without parts of them coming up, moving around, or falling off.

I just had surgery on my shoulder and have used this brand 3M Tegaderm Film before. So when I ordered this product in a larger size there was no doubt in my mind that it would work! I’ve used this product in the Field, and obviously for my personal preference. I consider this the gold standard for bandages.The film is a bit tricky to apply but if you follow the instructions you should definitely get the hang of it by the second time around. And I would also say, by the time you apply it 3 or 4 times you will be a pro. Lol, it’s really not rocket science. This sealing bandage comes in different sizes and is clear in color. It will not harm sensitive skin and most importantly it will protect your wound. The Tegaderm is water resistant and locks out germs while the wound is healing. I used it, and changed it, every other day after my stitches were dissolved and the surgical tape removed. It’s also great for creating a barrier against the annoying fabric seams or lady’s bra straps that rub against your freshly cut skin.I was a little surprised that it didn’t come in a box but there had been no tampering with the product itself and all seals were intact. The delivery was good with no incident to report and as a person who worked in the medical field, I give this my stamp of approval!

Home health nurse had used these on wounds and they worked well. Decided to buy some to have on hand.

They work fairly well, just make sure you apply them perfectly.
