Yamaha, 76-Key Touch-Sensitive Advanced Portable Keyboard, with Pro-Quality Sound, Music Rest, and Power Adapter, (PSREW425)

The Yamaha PSR-EW425 is the best $500 keyboard. It has everything you need to play music, including a microphone. Also, the 76 keys is a feature that other $500 keyboards do not have. The quality of the sounds is amazing. Nobody makes a better 76 key keyboard at this price and with these features. It does not have any faults. I like everything about this keyboard.

As a non-musician adult trying to learn to play a keyboard I would say this is the best one to start on for the money. I love all the features of it right out of the box. Of course I had to buy a pedal, headphones, and microphone, but that was to be expected. Maybe experienced musicians would have a different opinion but I love it. I watched a lot of reviews on various keyboards before deciding on this one. I have no regrets or disappointments about it so far. Maybe as my skills improve I might moved up to a better model but for now it meets all of my expectations. Thanks Yamaha for this quality instrument!

got the keyboard for church and so far it sounds very good

I have been a Yamaha instrument consumer for 50 + years and have always gotten really great products. Even when buying beginner instruments for first time players the build quality has been great. However, it seems Yamaha dropped the ball this time. The psr ew 425 is an entry level arranger board with what seems to be toy keys. Less than 2 weeks of use one of the keys became loose to the point I believe it would have broken completely off. Unacceptable for a $500 purchase. Other than that, the board was great and what was expected. I returned this keyboard because of poor key construction.

This is my 5th portable keyboard and I am in love with it. The sound quality is amazing though the Grand Piano could be a little better. All other instruments are as close to the real things as possible and the number of features it offers at sub-$500 range is unbelievable. Great for any music enthusiast of ANY level. I know I am going to enjoy it for years to come.There are tons of videos on YouTube and you can learn about all of its features in less than 2 days.Sure there are room for improvements in the basic layout of the buttons but I am quite happy with it as it is. Your mileage may vary.
