OriGlam USB Wired Wii Sensor Bar, Replacement Infrared IR Ray Motion Sensor Bar, Replacement USB Wired Infrared Ray Sensor Bar for Nintendo Wii and Wii U Console

Allows me to put the sensor bar at the TV, and plugged into the USB, and allow the Wii console to be in a different location.

Bought this because I no longer have a Wii U and I wanted a sensor bar for Dolphin. I was shocked. Came in a barely taped together plastic bag. USB cable isn't that long and feels thin and fragile, but the thing works perfectly using my TV's USB port. It comes with a little plastic stand that also has some type of adhesive under it for attaching to a surface. It holds on top of my glossy TV. It seems accurate and works well with no issues from my short period of testing. Would definitely recommend.

The plastic 'U' that elevates the bar to the necessary height above the monitor is needlessly shoddy, and taking the thing off the monitor is nary impossible thanks to the strength of the tape. Some kind of sliding mechanism would be nice for temporary removal of the bar, or a clamp, or even a stronger elevation mechanism.Other than this, this device carries some advantages over the competition: it is USB powered, and I can confirm, it works for dolphin emulator! Good little gadget. Very long USB cable. (Very!) and though worryingly thin, it seemingly hasn't broken yet. One can verify the device is working by seeing it through a phone camera's viewfinder. The invisible light it emits is (barely) visible to the phone camera, and should look sort of purple.

Hooked it up and the Wii remote picks it up just fine in Dolphin

While it works, the construction was a little shorty, there was a crack on the bottom of the bar and the stand itself was broken almost in half. The wire seems very delicate so be careful. I have this on a usb hub that I can turn on with a button so I do not burn out the or bulbs, I would recommend a solution similar.

Work perfectly with our Wii console.

The "Wii Sensor Bar" is a bit of a misnomer--it is basically an infrared flashlight. All 'sensing' is done within the Wiimote itself, hence the IR receiver at the front of the unit.This is perfect for Dolphin (PC) as it does exactly what it is supposed to: it emits infrared light. No more, no less, no setup was required since it just relies on USB for power.

Just a heads up. Fully thought I got a broken one because nothing was visible when I plugged it in. Tried switching USB ports and everything. You can see the lights if you look through your phone camera. Works perfectly <3
