Aramis Lab Series for Men Electric Shave Solution 100ml/3.4oz

I use electric shavers for a long time, usually top of the line ( Phillips Norelco, then Panasonic Arc5 and now Braun 9). Started applying Aramis Lab Series liquid few years ago. Before that was using Lectic Shave. I can tell you right away - there's a huge difference between Aramis and Lectic! And even bigger difference if you don't use any pre-shave lotion at all and are shaving with electric razor dry. Of course it's all subjective and greatly depends upon your skin and beard, but it my case effect of using Aramis is nothing short of spectacular. First comes much improved closeness of shave, even with top of the line shavers that are very good to begin with. Second I feel less irritation. And last but not least, this lotion reduces shaving time while providing better results. I know all this because on one occasion I went on a business trip without any pre-shave liquid at all. And then another time, I forgot to reorder Aramis and had to live for 10 days with Lectic. So I had ample opportunities to compare and, man, there was no compassion but plenty of irritation and less than stellar quality of the shave than I was used to. The trick it to apply UNIFORMLY (so there are no uncovered spots) the lotion to your face on a DRY skin. Then just use the LIGHT touch (don't press it) holding your shaver PERPENDICULAR to the surface. Shaving head will comformably glide with reduced friction over skin. When done just splash away your face with water. Of course there are downsides, like with everything: 1. It's expensive. But you don't have to use a lot of it per each shave. And then again to me results are worth it. 2. The lotion creates sort of oily film on your skin that serves as a lubricant. I'm ok with it and it easily washes away but some people may not like this sensation. Also some of it is left on your razor's head, so you have to clean/wash it more frequently. On the other hand it lubricates the cutters which is a good thing. 3. It has a slight scent that I can't really define. I'm neutral to it, but you may not like it. 4. The lotion is manufactured in UK, apparently in small batches by a small boutique firm. As such you have to order it in advance since it takes time to be delivered by Amazon. At least that was my experience.

I bought this stuff the first time because it came up as one of those "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" things when I bought my Braun Series 7- 790cc Pulsonic Shaver System, Silver . Wow. What a difference. After using it one time I pretty much was a customer for life. In fact, it worked so well that I had to do all sorts of tests to make sure it was the solution and not the razor. The razor was an upgrade for sure, but this stuff is terrific. The directions say to use three or four shakes or fluid. That's more than three or four drops. I've noticed that less solution comes out when the bottle is new and mostly filled so maybe 5 shakes is good for starting out. I put in my palm and then rub my hands together before applying it to my face and neck. After a few days of using it, it becomes stupidly easy to apply. No drips. No mess. I waited to post my review until I went through an entire bottle. It lasted almost exactly 7 months, or, less than 3 bucks a month. SO while it seems like a lot to pay per bottle, it turns out to be definitely worth it. The fluid seems to be a combination of alcohol and a very (extremely) light oil. The alcohol evaporates on application and leaves your skin ready for shaving, and allows the razor to just glide. It also seems to make the hair stand up straighter... I'm not sure if that's my imagination or not. I've never noticed the need to wash my face after shaving, and the fluid is completely odorless which I really, really like. I absolutely hate when manufactures decide to add some kind of fragrance with something like this. I'm allergic to a lot of things on my skin so in my case, less is more. Give this stuff a try. You'll be glad you did.

As others have said it works very well -- non-greasy, almost odorless, evaporates quickly on the skin, no electric razor drag, and leaves you with a smooth skin after the shave. But for such a high price (US$24) for just a few ounces, I found myself becoming annoyed that -- even being very careful splashing a small amount in my hand -- it ALSO causes the lotion to drip and run down the plastic bottle, no matter how I do it. This means an extra step to clean up, as well as a small waste of the product, which is why I deducted a star from my rating. It should not be hard to produce the product with a dripless spout, especially given the "luxury" cost to the customer. As a result, I'm not sure I'll re-order it (even though I'm a long-time Aramis fan) ... it might be worth shopping around for something else. Hopefully at a lower price.

I totally agree with JS 2012-02-07: "This is probably the best electric pre-shave solution on the market so far. The scent is subtle but nice, and won;t interfere with cologne. Much better smelling than Williams Lectric Shave Electric Razor Pre-Shave, Original, 3 fl oz. The splash is not inundated with alcohol, so it won't dry out your face nor make you smell like a bar! It has a very cool "warming" effect - your face will feel slightly warmed as you apply it. It quickly subsides to leave a nice cool feeling. It lifts hairs and provides a lubricating, slightly moisturized feel to make shaving easier. It may not be an absolute necessity, but in the rough game of shaving, every advantage helps! Pros: Warming sensation upon application Subtle scent - will not overpower cologne Perceptible lubrication for a smoother shave Cons: A little pricey."

Me afeito con maquinilla eléctrica, cuando me quiero afeitar con ella en húmedo utilizo un aceite de afeitado ya que quiero ver por donde me afeito y con la espuma es más engorroso. La mayoría de los días me afeito en seco, pero sobretodo en verano que la piel está mas sudada, la maquinilla le cuesta deslizarse y es realmente incómodo. Probé diversos productos con resultados mas bien decepcionantes, hasta que utilicé éste liquido que resultó verdaderamente milagroso. Una vez aplicado a la cara y cuello, al momento se realiza un afeitado en seco perfecto y la maquinilla se desliza suavemente,como un trineo por la nieve.

Lo uso da anni con ottimi risultati. Il rasoio scorre molto bene e la barba si taglia senza irritazione. Li ho provati praticamente tutti quelli sul mercato e questo è diventato il mio prodotto preferito

Lo compro desde hace 6 años. Es la mejor opción para tener un excelente rasurado con maquina eléctrica. Aprovechando, las mejores son la Braun. El frasco se ve pequeño, pero solo se necesita unas cuantas gotas al día, aproximadamente dura 4 meses. Actualización noviembre 2025: El de la izquierda es el modelo nuevo. Excelente producto. Ojalá Amazon México no lo deje de vender !

Was soll ich sagen?!? Ja knapp 30€ für ein bisschen Preshave ist schon nicht ohne aber es funktioniert so gut das es sein Geld einfach wert ist. Ich nutze einen Braun Serie 799. Durch das Preshave gleitet der Rasierer deutlich besser über die Haut und die Rasur wird deutlich gründlicher. Den Duft empfinde ich als angenehm und die Haut fühlt sich danach sehr gut an. Trotz meiner empfindlichen Haut kommt es zu keinen Hautproblemen. Ich kann dieses Produkt uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Der Preis ist zwar hoch aber das Produkt ist auch sehr ergiebig. Von mir gibt's ne klar Kaufempfehlung!!!
