Almost perfect
First impressions are good, with well thought out packaging (a refreshing lack of non-recyclables) and a solid build. The unit itself feels sturdy, helped by the metal frame, and has a good weight to it. There is a threaded mounting point on one of the long edges for tripods etc. Would have been nice for a second mount on one of the otherwise blank short edges, to allow for it to be mounted vertically.Power, for charging the in-built battery or providing continuous power, is via USB-C which it good to see. The provided power cable has an unusual shaped plug which allows you to make a permanently powered setup look neater, but it will charge from most cables (eg I generally use the one from my mouse). The battery life seems good considering the brightness and Wi-Fi, and there's a 5 segment power gauge on the back so you can check charge levels easily. Another good feature is the ability to disable the charging circuit (dubbed 'studio mode') so if you have things permanently plugged in then you can save some heat and wear and tear on the battery. The unit has built in wi-fi which can be used to control brightness and colour-temperature once set up, but it is possible to use the physical controls on the unit itself if you are away from a suitable connection. Worth mentioning that once set up, settings can be controlled from anything on the same wi-fi network, not just whatever you used to set it up. For example, you can configure the device using the mobile phone app, but then control it using a windows PC.The light given off is very good quality and properly diffused. Even on maximum brightness you can't see the individual leds like you can on so many other products. The brightness is more than adequate for all but the most difficult scenarios or setups, such as being beside a very bright window. I would say though that they are not really bright enough to pull double-duty as photography lights, except maybe for a macro setup.Only two slight irks stop it from being perfect:The mobile app is very easy to use, and allows you to control multiple lights without a problem and there is minimal lag to setting changes. However, at least on Android, getting the initial connection working can be a real pain, with me having to repeat the wi-fi setup steps at least 3 times. However, once setup up they have been faultless. The physical controls are minimal with just a power button and a multi-use jog dial to control brightness and temperature. You switch between the two modes by clicking the dial in. However, to communicate which mode you are in, the main light of the unit flashes very brightly. This makes changing settings on the fly, eg in the middle of a video call, a no-go unless you want to answer questions about the flashing. It might have been better to either have two dials (one dedicated to each function) or a more subtle indicator LED. There are of course no such issues if you're using the app.Overall I think these are great lights for the money, especially compared to what you can pay for similar photography-oriented lights. I'd say they would benefit not just the target market of streamers, but are also good for improving video calls for work. The build it very good and, once past the initial setup, the Wi-Fi control works perfectly. One of those products that impresses enough that I bought a second one very soon after using the first.

Excellent Purchase - Elgato Key Light Mini is Fantastic!
I recently got the Elgato Key Light Mini, and it has been amazing for my content creation. This light is small but very powerful. Setting it up was super easy and quick. It connected to my devices really fast, so I could start using it right away. One of my favorite features is that you can bypass the battery. This means you can use the light without draining the battery, which helps keep the battery healthy for a long time. This is very helpful and shows that Elgato cares about quality and user convenience. The light itself is great, with adjustable brightness and color settings. This allows me to create the perfect lighting for my videos, whether it’s day or night. The app control is easy to use and makes adjusting the light simple.

Excellent light with a painful WifI flaw
Overall I love this light and I do not regret my purchase. For what it does with such a small package it's excellent. Quality look and feel. It use it for work calls and it does a great job. It's not really bright enough on it's own (I'm quite fussy about getting light just right). However with two lights (currently the second light is a cheaper annoying alternative. In time I will just add a second Keylight Mini. This arrangement works well as being a glasses wearer I need one light really high and one light to the side to avoid reflections. Now, to the wifi / remote control. This light has the worst wifi setup of any smart device I've used. Nowhere in the documentation does it point out that it works on 2.4Ghz only, and it sort of tries to work on 5Ghz but it doesn't. I cannot get this light to stay consistently connected to my network and when I set it up I had to reset it many times. I do have a slightly more advanced network with more than one wifi network so I have also uncovered the issue that neither the iOS app or the Windows control center allow you to manually enter the IP address for the device and instead rely on broadcast and MDNS which is makes it difficult to use. I have, for now, given up and just control the light manually. But that kind of setup from the company that brings you the incredible hardware they do is very disappointing.Still. I love this light and will probably add another.

Loving these when paired with Elgato Streamdeck
They work pretty well. Make sure they are plugged in for best life and ensure you allow them to turn on for a minute or so before expecting a wifi connection. A little annoying to get set up and once in a while they break the wifi link for no reason, but so does every other smart device I have. Easier if you have the app on an iOS device (maybe Android, but I haven't tested it).I have them powered off a wall socket and programmed from an Elgato Streamdeck. You get the chance then to control On/Off, dim and colour temperature with ease. Both the desktop and iOS apps work well too. Mounted just above my screen height and to one side it lights my face well. I us two, one set at 70% and one at 30% and its bearable to look at a screen just under it (for running the webcast) but I wouldn't want it right in front of me unless it was higher up.Expensive maybe, depends on your pocket. I had cheaper and less functional Yonnuo YN300 and these are far more useful. Internal battery makes them pretty portable to and USB-C means they charge pretty fast. All round, they get a thumbs up!

Fits in nicely with its bigger siblings
I got this to complement two Elgato Key Light Airs, with its small size and colour matching to other Elgato lights being the major selling points for me.The quality of light is impressive, and is just as good as the Key Light Airs. The ability to switch to a mode that bypasses the battery is useful, and means that should I require portable usage the battery should still be in good condition. The build quality is excellent, and the unit as a whole feels very solid. Everything in the Elgato range feels this way, so it's nice for a cheaper item to be just as good.Overall, it's worth the price and worth a buy
