Solenoid works great with no problems!!

After eliminating the battery and safety switches, I found the starter solenoid was the failed component preventing by Deere D130 from starting. Turning the key, headlights worked but absolutely no cranking whatsoever. If this sounds familiar to you, it's a common failed component on Deere lawn tractors apparently judging by a quick Google search. I was happy to find this part and receive it quickly. Easy quick installation (5 minutes tops) and my mower fired up immediately. My only concern now is it's the exact same part number/manufacturer as the original solenoid, so how long it will last is uncertain. I'm very happy however that I didn't end up paying the local Deere implement dealer their outrageous labor rates and part markup for what turned out to be a simple fix.

Worked well on Cub Cadet LT1042, was easy to install, and fixed the starting problem. How did I know I needed this part? On the old one, turning the switch, I'd hear a click, but no crank, and no start. Every once in a while, it would crank. I cleaned the contacts to this solenoid, still nothing. Also cleaned the contacts at the starter. Then, I used a 12 awg wire to short the two poles (one of them is 12V constant, the other is 12V when the solenoid is activated), which is what happens when the solenoid is engaged (it connect the power to the other pole), and the engine cranked, so I knew this solenoid (relay) was defective. This solenoid has 2 tabs for the ignition switch. My old solenoid had 1 tab, and the ground wire was connected to the mounting screw. I had to cut the grounding wire's circular type of connector, and put a connector that fits into the tab.

You know that feel you get...when the motor doesn't start and you have way to much to do?..and you don't want to drive 30 minutes to the nearest supply? Kinda ruins the vibe of your whole weekend...all I wanted to do was drink my beer and destroy some grass.. Well here is thing that will make you feel better when you hear your motor vroom...bad vibes erased. This solenoid is a solid build, and virtually looks like the OEM...heck probably is OEM... But my MTB always had a hard start which makes me believe it came bad from the factory... This solenoid is solid and the mower starts like a champ..
