Excellent raps for drywall ONLY. Great well made tool!
Funny thing I have a drywall rasp that is 12 inches long. About 40yrs old and sharp as a razor. never used it becaus eit is so cumbersome. This rasp is great. Fits in the pam and quickly removes gypsum burrs from a cut piece of drywall. A word of caution: ONLY USE THIS ON SOFT MATERIAL LIKE GYPSUM. The teeth will NOT hold up if used on wood. Prob OK to use on foam board.

Works Great on wood Lathe
I have been using it on my wood lathe to ruff shaping Pen Blanks, works better than a gouge for an even bevel. Just need to remember to keep it moving side to side!

Great tool
I love this rasp. I have never had one before but it seems to be good so far. I use it on my dry wall when my cuts are not perfect. I wish I had one a long time ago. Makes short time of over sized cuts even up to a half inch of material. If you don't have one and you work with dry wall. Get one you won't regret it.

A MUST for drywall.
Waited 2 weeks of using on drywall project before reviewing. For drywall this is a must. It will straighten out bad cuts, or shave 1/4 inch off too long of cuts. Most negative reviews I saw were for wood projects. The first weekend of putting up drywall, I thought I could just use a razor blade knife to clean up cuts, I even used a sharp chisel, I was wasting time trying to get clean sides. So glad I watched YouTube and they said use a rasp. I highly recommend this tool.

It rasped
Screw came loose once while using it. Other than that it worked well for trimming small amounts of drywall off. I used this in combination with a razor. This was slower but more exact. Used it quite a bit while finishing my basement. Good addition to your toolset if you're finishing a room of drywall, but not necessary for just a few pieces.

Could be better but not bad
I am a drywall hanger I use these all the time during my work day. I bought this because I wanted a metal screw to hold the blade because Stanley switched to a cheap plastic screw that never holds on theirs. But this one comes loose all the time as well I had to put nut lock on the screw to keep it from coming loose so often . And the rasp blade that comes with it is not very sharp . Also note that when I got the rasp the blade was installed backwards I turned it the correct way it is just not very sharp . Anyone that buys this and is having problems with it not working at all as I saw in one review should consider flipping the rasp blade the other way to see it that helps . Seems durable enough does not seem to want to break or anything not like the cheap plastic Stanley screw. It just sucks that I still have to play games getting the screw to stay locked down tight so the blade does not come loose.

I had a different style rasp but felt a little limited. This works great. Feels sturdy. Great purchase.
