SMC EZ Connect G 802.11g Wireless Cardbus Adapter

At first, I was a little skeptical about such a device for the advertised price. However, it works perfectly and does what it is suppose to do. EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased the SMC Cardbus Adapter for an old model Dell laptop computer. The Dell has only one USB port and not much memory. I read that USB adapters use more processing power, so I figured that the Cardbus adapter would be a better choice.The adapter was a cinch to install. I installed the drivers from the disk (included), plugged in the card, and it worked straightaway.I had a problem that I could not attest to the card except coincidentally. The computer blue-screened a few times. I ran CHKDSK /F, and it did not happen again. But that never happened before the card was installed.The wi-fi reception with the Cardbus card was not as good as my newer Dell with internal wi-fi, but it is adequate if the signal is strong.It's a good value for the price.

I've been using this modem in my laptop for about two years now and have had no problems with it whatsoever.

While this may not be the fastest or newest, it works great at home with our internet connection. Being a novice software person I was amazed with how easy it was to download the drivers and install when I moved to a new computer and didn't have any of the software. Good luck!
